The Conch Salad is just to die and just love watching it being prepared right in front of us. The view is just lovely. Good price, very friendly servers and excellent service. We always make a point to go at least once every time we vacation in Great Exuma.

Big D's has a nice deck with excellent views. However, upon arriving it took 20 minutes before my husband and I were even given a menu. They weren't busy, with only two other tables that were seated. Although we were relaxing and enjoying the view and were used to "island time" we thought this was too long to wait. It... More

Food was great! Owners were wonderful! View was awesome! We visited twice, once by boat and once by car.

My wife and I went in May while ataying at Sandals Emerald Bay. We wanted local food from a place where locals eat. The food was really good, although they couldn't make conch salad due to the heavy winds and choppy waters (they actually go right out off the beach and dive for your conch). At first glance of the... More

Our dinner at Big D's will remain one of the most memorable of my life. Delicious food in paradise. We watched the conch being caught and cleaned. Our conch salads were prepared fresh, right in front of us. We had the conch salad, blackened conch, grilled lobster and grilled conch. All the food was fantastic, but the conch salad was... More

Definitely a local hangout. Right on the beach. Lovely view. Met Big D one night and he was very friendly. Out of a couple of dishes, but it's the off-season, to be expected. Conch fritters were great and recommend the grilled conch. In a foil pouch it is steamed with vegetables. Bring cash as the credit card machine often doesn't... More

We spent the day at Big D's and had a beautiful and relaxing time! First we watched two friendly young men cut open coconuts, removing the milk inside. Then we watched another gentleman dive for conch then cleaned them and prepared a conch salad ... all of this while enjoying a delicious frozen daiquiri and eating some of the best... More

The restaurant was friendly, clean and in a great location. All 13 of use had no complaints about out food. We only had one issue regarding price for the Lobster and Shrimp Alfredo. Our waitress, a young child didn't explain the price very well and management didn't adjust cost after agreeing too. I would return because mistakes happen but the... More

This place was a very nice introduction to conch-centric dining, after we were stuck at our hotel for the first few nights. The view is very nice (just feet from the water) and we ate outside without much fly trouble.
