Just came home from having supper at Big D's Conch Stop. Had the grouper and cracked conch. The meal was terrific and the view spectacular. Definitely will go back before we leave. We weren't in a hurry but the service was good and it was nice to just sit outside and watch the seagulls.

We stopped in for lunch. Had the conch fritters, Mac n cheese and plantains. They were all very good. Our server was very friendly, but the food did take some time to come out. We weren't in any hurry, so we just took in the lovely scenery. We would go back, especially since we didn't get to meet D.

We stopped on our way back from Shoreline just to say we did. There were more people here than at any other one place on the island. The service was the slowest we saw all week and found out no fritters when I asked where our food was. They were not going to tell us??

First of all, the view is to die for. Secondly the food is spectacular. I was really looking forward to conch fritters, but unfortunately they were out. Instead, I had the cracked conch which was to die for. The ladies had the conch salad and my wife said it was by far one of the best things she had ever... More

Wonderful surprise to discover this wonderful beachfront restaurant on Exuma. Love conch; and it was one of my two best ever conch meals for a delightful lunch. Food was great; try the local brew; and the staff was friendly and superb. Got to meet Big D who is a great host. Stop there for a great lunch or dinner!

The view and food were the very best! The first bite I took,I said now THAT'S fresh! You can taste the difference for sure! Being on "Bohemian time" we've learned patience quickly. This was the type of atmosphere that if you needed something, we just went inside to ask for it, no big deal to us. Being some of the... More

I traveled to Little Exuma in November of 2003 and while on the island, I was taken to Big D's for dinner one afternoon. I was HIGHLY satisfied with my FIRST conch experience. The conch salad, conch fritters, and conch burger were UNBELIEVABLE! While at the restaurant I was able to meet Big D and he is a great host,... More

My chicken (no flour) served with rice and beans was good, but a little dry. The rice and beans were undercooked. All other conch burgers for our group were reportedly delicious. There is a conch salad bar. Awesome. The conch guy had just emerged from the ocean with about 25 conch. Talk about fresh! BIG PLUS is the gorgeous view!,

We made our way north on the one road traversing Exuma to Big D's Conch Shack based on Tripadvisor. Lunch was so delicious and everything from the snapper to the conch fritters so fresh that it was literally sea to table within a few hours. The beach is good for children and the service so warm and friendly that a... More

We enjoyed a nice fresh seafood lunch at Big Ds. It has a nice "food shack" atmosphere with a nice open deck overlooking the beach. Only real disappointment was the flies. Big Ds cleans their catch and prepares the conchs on the deck, and any incomplete disposal of trash allows flies to incubate.
