Great Simple Food-Beautiful Views

We are regular visitors to the Bahamas out islands and often stay at Governor's Harbour. We make Sunset Inn a stop for dinner on every trip. We love the Sunset Inn, Lionel and his wife "J" are great people and treat you like family. She makes the best coconut pie. Our favorites are the cracked conch and grouper fingers. We always tell "J", we know it is fresh when we hear you pounding the conch in the kitchen. Her sides are also delicious. Bahamian food at... More

My family and I had lunch and several dinners at the Sunset. We agreed that the conch and grouper were quite tasty--don't try the chicken wings, not fresh. Some of the sides accompanying the meals were quite delicious--lunch time potato wedges delicious and coleslaw very good. Our servers were pleasant as was the bartender-- and the view is fabulous!

The Sunset Inn is a great place to have lunch and gander at what has to be able me of the best restaurant views in Eleuthera. The wife enjoyed their Pina Coloda, while I thought the grouper fingers were absolutely marvelous. Lightly battered and tempura fried, they had one of my favorite meals on the island. I had the grouper... More

Been there during our honeymoon once for dinner. Like everywhere on Eleuthera, the staff is very friendly. The menu is not too big, but offers a good variety of typical bahamian dishes. The food is not outstandingly good, but I would describe it as above average. Pricing seemed very reasonable to me, compared to prices in general on the island.... More

$50.00 for a dinner that should have cost less than half of that. The service was great, but it couldn't make up for the food. This restaurant was very overpriced, but then all of the restaurants seen to end up with the same total. Some are worth it, this one wasn't.my husband said the grouper was good.

We were served two glasses of red wine that had gone sour and the owner refused to take the charge off the bill. At the same time another table was complaining that they had been charged the VAT tax twice and they were also having issues with the owner! The staff and service was fine, although I feel sorry that... More

We had two very good lunches here. Service was very good and friendly and fast for Eleuthera. We had conch and fish fingers which they prepared special without any seasoining.

I've eaten here several times. I've even been serenaded by the waiter! They have GREAT fried chicken. It may have been killed right out back after I ordered. It was so fresh! Be sure to check out the funky bathroom. Bring a friend!
