Welcoming and hospitable

Great hospitality and conversation. Ask to see Parliament. Terrific setting. Welcoming. An excellent experience overall.

I ate there twice and the food was good, you have to call ahead and let them know you are coming and also ask what's available for that day.once you get to the restaurant you don't have to wait at all.The owner Julien and his wife Renne are wonderful people just remember it's Cat Island and not Nassau is not... Da Smoke Pot food was very good...however the no see ums ( biting flies) were pretty bad that night. We would recommend you call first as they may or not not be open.

Julian the owner is a poet, the food is awesome...but after dinner if you are there when they bring out the saw and screwdriver you are in for a treat...dance and laugh all night...

We stopped here for drinks with Julian & friends after leaving Shannas Cove. Another fun place to hang out with the locals in Cat Island. Julian & his wife make you feel like family. We did not want to leave, but it was late & we were flying home the next day. See you next year hopefully for a longer... More

Great food - fish, conch, ribs, potato salad, rice and peas - and rake & scrape! I was there with the crowd from Shanna's Cove, but others joined in. We ate, we danced - great evening.

Had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed Julian and his wife's hospitality!! As a mainlander, I honestly might not have gone there had it not been arranged by our innkeeper, Cathleen from Island HoppInn, for fear of not being accepted in a "local" place like Julian's. WRONG!! So wrong!!! We were welcomed with open arms and hearts!! Loved it!!! Absolutely going... More

Julian and his family are taking great care of you with fine local food such as fried conch or fresh fish. After dinner, Julian and his band are playing rake and scrape music on the porch; sometimes late into the mild night.

We stopped into the Smoke Pot on a Friday night and enjoyed the live Rake and Scrape music. The group was amazing and engaged all of us while we threw back glass after glass of rum and danced into the night. Incredible talent. We closed the place down and even enjoyed drinks with the lead musician and restaurant owner (they're... More
