Fabulous Lobster cooked to perfection. Authentic Bahamian cooking with the delightful Bertha always there with a ready smile and a tale to tell.

Can't wait to visit Bertha's in a couple of weeks. Her homemade hot sauce is the best! All her food is yummy and fresh.

Do not, I repeat, do not turn away by any means as you hit Berthas. While for some the decor may be a bit down home, this place is the real deal and I have traveled extensively throughout the islands of The Bahamas to know. There were four things in the menu. Lobster, snappa, conch (cracked) and fried chicken. We... More

Lobster and conch. Get it! Best service and food on the island. Just a five minute walk down the beach from Wyndham resort.

Our group of six (4 adults and 2 children) went to Bertha's for dinner. When we arrived, it looked deserted but Bertha was there with her son and ready to prepare our meal. Dont be scared by this place. The people and food and great. They cooked a platter full of lobsters, snapper, fried chicken and conch. Also had salad,... More

Don't be discouraged by the run down appearance of the place! We walked here for lunch from our hotel, Viva Wyndham. We ordered the lobster meal and were very pleased with the two lobster tail portion, French fries and salad for just $25 each. Lobster was seasoned with lots of garlic and was yummy. French fries were definitely a step... More

Bertha's is one of those places you dream about finding when traveling because it turns your trip into a true travel experience -- you can't get any more local than Bertha's! If you're looking for a fancy generic restaurant that could be anywhere in the world, this isn't your place. But if you're looking for a true bahamian experience with... More

Off the beaten track but worth the journey. A warm welcome makes you feel at home at Berthas. The beach is stunning and you can enjoy sunset whilst sipping tongue tingly cocktails. Berthas Bahamian food is hugely enjoyable. Its a beach hut with heart. Just writing this review on a cold October Scottish evening makes me wish I was back... More

What a wonderful woman, sumptuous food, and a stunning location! I couldn't recommend it enough! A small hut on the beach own by a family woman who cooks the best chicken I've ever eaten, after a man who worked there created the yummiest cocktails and we sat on the beach listening to the waves! Just FAB !!

This little place is awesome! Only a short walk from our cottage down the beach to the best food on the island. We decided instead of trying only an entree each, we would get a platter of what the cook/server recommended. We were surprised with lobster, grouper, chicken and conch. All were amazing and really fresh. We will def be... More
