OK but not everything it was made out to be by other reviewers

Cool little place and way cheaper than the restaurants surrounding it. Lying in the back of the Lucayan Marketplace on the water sits this little stand. You'll know it on site and there will probably be a few locals in line. Only worth getting here is the conch salad. It's fresh, large enough for... read more

While visiting a friend at the marina he suggested we try the conch. Personally I dont care for conch but on that day he had lobster tails,so i ordered the large. It was the biggest caribbean lobster tail I ever had. Tender, juicy and quick. Along with some conch and fritters it was enough for appetizers for 6.

Small shack in the market that makes deadly Conch fritters, fried conch and lobster tails. This is a very simple but delicious Bahamian must try.

On a recent trip to Freeport, we noticed Big Daddy Brown's Conch Shack (right after eating lunch elsewhere!), and decided that we needed to go back. Having had fresh conch salad on another Bahamian island, we were greatly looking forward to repeating the experience. While I will say that it was good, for us it did not compare in freshness... This place is pretty good and pretty cheap. Conch fritters here are not any worse than anywhere else on the island but they are half the price for double the amount. Good for a quick lunch.

We approached his stand, thinking it was a tour booking place, only to find a little gem of a take-away restaurant!! The conch salad...great! But the best....fried lobster....2-3 large tails plus fried conk for $15.00...made while you watch!! Highly recommend!!

And we tried several other places but this little booth had the freshest and most tasty seafood we tried. And reasonable priced compared to other places. Hubby had the fried fish and fritters and this was the best compared to several restaurants on the marketplace or booths on the beach.

Place was very busy with a long wait but the fritters were quite yummy. Could have added a bit more spice to the batter but it's obviously a very popular touristy spot on the island! Bojangles downtown has much better selection of authentic fritters and overall food + menu

I usually don't see a reason to disembark any cruise ship when visiting Freeport. Not much happening here. The shopping is lackluster. Restaurants are tourist traps. But, Big a Daddy Browns will have you asking, "who's your Daddy", and gives me a must visit spot on Freeport whenever I visit the island from now on.
