While visiting Freeport in late July for my August 1st wedding, my (now) husband and I came across Island Java. The coffee and every meal we had was great. I highly recommend the banana pancakes - they are the absolute best I've had - and the "Jamacian Me Crazy" coffee! Sally, the owner, was extremely nice and greeted us every... more

After a week in the out islands, it was nice to sip a good cappuccino. The breakfast was mediocre (but then this is a coffee bar after all…) Some staff were friendly, others less so. If you're not a Starbucks fan like me (they have a Starbucks both in the Westin & Sheraton), then this is your best bet for... more

I have been there a few times and I had a hot chocolate and a white mocha frapp and they were both horrible. I wouldn't suggest this place if there was somewhere else to go to but there really isn't other then the little coffee places in the Westin and Sheraton that serves Starbucks but its very limited. more

After reading all the outstanding reviews, we decided to stop here for breakfast one morning. The food was adequate. Nothing special. Same with the coffee. They were cheap I'll give them that but the "loaded" breakfast burrito was grilled like a panini (something I'd never seen done before). Orange juice from a can. If you are just looking for coffee... more

This place beats any breakfast spot I've been to - stateside or the Caribbean. Great pastries, burritos, donuts, gelato. Can't go wrong here. more

My husband and I use to live in Port Lucaya. We were back visiting in August and stayed at the Shreton. We visited Island Java every morning and loved it!!! Island Java was not there when we lived on the island....but I wish it was! The coffee drinks were delish, the pastries were always fresh and amazing. And most of... more

Went here 3 times during my week stay at the Sheraton. Pastries were delicious, I got mango and chocolate muffins to go. Iced coffee made well, selection of magazines to choose from. Outside and inside tables. Staff was friendly. Need to try the chocolates, I'm kicking myself for not trying them! more
