Huge portions and excellent service. Make sure to make a reservation. This restaurant wasn't open every night so we were glad we had made the reservation the day earlier.
Our first time here and we were not overly impressed. Very disappointed with the pulled pork - with 4 teenage kids we ended up throwing it away after. The brisket was good. Still pretty pricey - it cost us almost $400 for 8 people. We had hoped to take home the leftovers for lunch - but like I said -... More
The portions were huge and the food was good old style BBQ! The Swordfish platter was amazing and had so much fish on it, it could feed 5-6 if you get other dishes to go along with it. We loved their sampler platter as well. One of the better value meals at the hotel.
We ordered the bbq chicken, rise, mac and cheese and onion rings for a family of 4. Only ate about 1/3 of it, portions are SO huge. Liked the food - there was just way more than what we could eat. We really liked the fish - which isn't what folks normally get at a BBQ but it was really good.
We had a 7:45 reservation but were hungry for dinner early because it was our arrival day. They sat us 2 hours early and the waiter was a fun and helpful.
stumbled upon Virgil's after lunch when in search for viewing spot for family members involved in day long program involving feeding stingrays. As had already eaten didn't partake of BBQ which looked great. ate yummy fries tho and had a marvelous spicy margarita. Bartenders very friendly and outside bar a great place for a drink.
Reservation on the weekend is a must. we waited over an hour but food came out quickly. OMG worth the wait. the portions are huge so go hungry. if you look at the cost vs portions it is an outstanding value. We enjoyed everything. it was perfect. we went back a second time for nachos to go. 27.00 buys enough... More
May not be healthy, but oh so good. One night we had the BBQ nachos. Portions are huge, if only 2 people ask for half size. Another night we tried the trainwreck fries and popcorn shrimp. Shrimp were not that special, but the fries were delicious. On top of the fries are cheeses, sour cream, crumbled bacon and comes with... More
