Cafe Matisse is wonderful. You can eat inside or out- we prefer the outside if it is not too muggy. There are lit trees that make you feel like you are in the middle of a fairy tale patio. They have a wonderful room for a private party. They do a really nice job. We have been coming here for... More

My hubby and visited this restaurant for his birthday and it was great! The food was good but small portions. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff was awesome from we entered the door everyone was really nice! I loved the mixed drinks that we had and food was served in a timely manner! This is definitely one to... More

Even if you're at an all inclusive or on a cruise ship a stop at Café Matisse is a must. The service is impeccable and the food is to die for. Ask for a seat on the patio under the gazebo to enjoy the finest Italian cuisine you'll eat in the Carribean.

Cafe Matisse is our absolute favorite restaurant to visit when we have to go to Nassau. It is a consistently excellent experience. The food is always fresh, really well cooked and offers a great choice of dishes. One of those restaurants where I say I am going to have to come back again because there are so many things I... This place is so over rated in my opinion. Unfortunately my husband and I sat inside and it felt so closed in and tight. The food was OK and the service felt rushed as they did no cater to delivering a 'dining' experience . . . maybe because we are locals they probably directed that energy to the tourists; but... Dined here with family! Was looking forward to giving the place a try last time we were in town it was closed... It's closed the month of September. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the owner. He was so personable and welcoming. When booking the reservation we asked to be seated in the grotto, it was a beautiful... More

If you want a great dinner and are in the downtown area this is the place to go. Service great! Food wonderful! I had linguine with lobster and it was phenomenal. Just about everything on the menu sounds delicious, be prepared to spend $100 per person.

We had 6 adults and 1 child and sat outside a couple of days ago. The owner and staff were so friendly, and that was just the beginning. The food ( and virgin miami vice) was the best on the Island. The owner said his family has been here over 160 years. They have fine dining down!!

We visit Cafe Matisse every time we visit the Bahamas, the service, food and atmosphere is always the best. We are always greeted with a smile and remembering us from years past. Have never had a bad meal Recommend to dine outside whenever possible. It is a must for dinner.
