Bad service. Bad food. I'm down with the concept of "island spirit", which involves a laid back attitude, and a slower pace. That's not what this was. Took a long time for us to place our drink order, and another 45 mins for appetizers. The place wasn't busy (a red flag I should have noticed), but the waitress was sitting... More

Food was miserable, edible but bland, greasy, or both. The check included an expensive item that we did not order (there was plenty of reason that this was intentional). "Grill" fish was brought to the table wrapped in aluminum foil, that contained vegetables and all the water they rendered; basically, a bony fish stew. Once seated outside, a compressor began... Place was packed, I got service within 2 minutes after ordering. Courteous and quick waitresses. I loved it and would definitely go back!

Having asked a few locals which stand to choose at the fish fry, the greatest concensus was to try Goldie's. We had the Conch fritters and fried Grouper. The breading on the fish was great and the portions were plenty large to share. While waiting for our food to be served, the staff called us out to the pier and... More

One of the best and only reasons I don't mind stopping in the Bahamas on a cruise. Time I was able to get off the ship I headed straight for Goldie's. This time we had an order of Conch Fritters, Cracked Conch and Grilled Conch. It was all great as usual but the Cracked Conch was great. Just like always... More

First night we had the conch fritters, they were excellent, server was great, but on our second trip...no conch, they were more like hush puppies. and it was obvious our server (a different one was at the end of her shift)

The last three times in Nassau/Atlantis we head to Goldie's for a dinner. Don't remember why we picked Goldie's the first time, but we have had a great time each and every visit. The food is great. Our typical meal consists of an order of cinch fritters and a conch salad, kids share a grouper finger dinner with peas and... More

I recommend this great restaurant at Fish Fry west of Nassau, ultra fresh conch salad, delicious, and fresh fry snapper, with cold Bahamian beer, if you want to try real food from Bahamas in your next trip you have to visit it. Short walk from the cruise port, around 15 min, or you can take public bus number 10 is... More

Fish Fry district, recommended by our driver- First visit: dinner outside on their little patio, 6 of us. Unbelievable conch chowder for me, everything else that was ordered was superb as well. We talked it up to our other friends so much that they wanted to go the next day for lunch. They were out of the soup (much to... More

I've been to Nassau several times and I have yet to find better food than Goldies. The snapper, scorch conch salad (with pepper), and fritters are my favorite. They also have $4 Kalik and great mixed drinks if beer isn't your thing. Patrick is the best, and runs the place while Goldie is away, ask for him.
