Conch Chowder is Amazing

We went here on a Tru Bahaman food tour 2 years ago and went back on our latest cruise. The conch chowder is amazing. It has a nice zing to it and you really get the taste of the conch. We also tried to braised lamb fettuccini in a red pepper cream sauce. It was also excellent. The only draw... read more

Went there for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was empty. The good thing about that was we got served real quick, lol. The food wasnt bad and it wasnt expensive. But being the only persons in the restaurant was very awkward.

We came here for dinner after getting a recommendation from Tru Bahamian Foods guides. Chef Frank was a wonderful host, checking with us to prepare the dishes on the menu exactly to our liking. He was able to come sit with us and tell stories of his life as we ate. And served us Ernest Hemingway's signature drink. The evening... More

Over the last 40 years I have been around the world, dined at many canteens, bars and restaurants of every stripe and star, including five star ones in Amsterdam....This one was special! The chef greeted us at the door, walked us through the menu, made excellent suggestions and was witty. The service was exemplary and the food was amazing the... More

This is where the locals go for lunch. I highly recommend the salads and they have a wonderful list of beers. Stop here when you're downtown shopping. It's laid back and a good place to unwind.

We visited as part of the food tour and were greeted in person by the Dutch chef who runs this place. I'm not surprised this place is so popular - being here is like being transported to any cosmopolitan city with an equally modern and interesting menu. We were treated to an updated version of the conch chowder that had... More

We came here as part of the Tru Bahamian Food Tour and we loved this place! We tried the conch chowder, which is a Thai-inspired take on conch chowder. It was super flavorful and there were large chunks of conch in the soup, which was great. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was super casual and it was an overall really... More

Located in the heart of downtown Nassau, Freddy carries a mix of contemporaneous / European style dishes! Def a must! DON'T forget to ask for Pepsi! She is the coolest waitress in town! Also, make sure to order your dish a la GuiGui's style! She will get it!

Freddy is the man! Or men...he is like talking to five people! But all five are genuinely concerned that you enjoy yourself and leave happy. Which I always do. He has the best conch chowder, aps are good, entrees excellent. You are on vacation! don't worry if it is a buck or two more than usual...Let him put his arm... More
