Conch Fritters - Family Tradition

We have lunch at Conch Fritters every time we stop by Nassau. They have renovated recently and the restaurant is more spacious. Do not come to this restaurant if you are in a rush. Afterall, you are in the Bahamas.... Food is average but we ordered the lunch special and that was excellent... read more

I adore the scorched conch, one of the few places this delicacy can be found. If you want Guava Duff make sure to inquire if it is available as it gets sold out rather quickly. I love this restaurant.

We dashed in from the rain and sat down to have a nice lunch. The staff was friendly and the facilities were typical local Caribbean style. I had conch fritters and they were excellent followed by the grouper burger which was incredibly good. A thick filet of grouper on a huge bun with garnishing! I loved it.

Good Bahamian food. Right downtown baystreet so walking distance from everywhere. A little pricey but good food.

I was staying at the Towne Hotel and walked to the business area. I took a left out of the hotel. First space took a left. Went across and around the corner by Ice cream place and took a left. It was about 2-3 businesses down on left. I had the curried chicken. Big portions. Tried the local punch. Good... More

No A/C, certainly on Bahamian time. Grouper sandwich was really good and the conch fritters are really good also.

The two types of Conch fritters were simply delicious...the yogurt next door not so much!! We were uncertain which to order so we tried both as a midday snack to share.. they came with fries and both were quite good!

We had just finished geocaching nearby and we were hot, sweaty and in desperate need of a cool beverage. We stopped here and sat at the bar which looks out at the British Colonial Hotel. (Where Sean Connery stayed while filming James Bond movies.) We ordered Kalik, the local beer, and were quickly served two ice cold bottles. Ahhh...refreshing! We... More

We wanted a nice local place to get a conch burger and found it! The restaurant is a little pricey for the location and service but overall I was pleased. The conch burger was definitely memorable. There is also free Wi-Fi and as cruise passengers having been off the grid for a few days this was very welcome.

We were looking for a local spot to try out some conch for the first time so we stopped here for lunch. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a very friendly waiter/bartender who asked what we wanted to drink. When we asked what the locals like to drink, he told us "Bahamas mamas". We asked him what...
