Lunch

No A/C, certainly on Bahamian time. Grouper sandwich was really good and the conch fritters are really good also.

I was staying at the Towne Hotel and walked to the business area. I took a left out of the hotel. First space took a left. Went across and around the corner by Ice cream place and took a left. It was about 2-3 businesses down on left. I had the curried chicken. Big portions. Tried the local punch. Good... More

The two types of Conch fritters were simply delicious...the yogurt next door not so much!! We were uncertain which to order so we tried both as a midday snack to share.. they came with fries and both were quite good!

We had just finished geocaching nearby and we were hot, sweaty and in desperate need of a cool beverage. We stopped here and sat at the bar which looks out at the British Colonial Hotel. (Where Sean Connery stayed while filming James Bond movies.) We ordered Kalik, the local beer, and were quickly served two ice cold bottles. Ahhh...refreshing! We... More

We wanted a nice local place to get a conch burger and found it! The restaurant is a little pricey for the location and service but overall I was pleased. The conch burger was definitely memorable. There is also free Wi-Fi and as cruise passengers having been off the grid for a few days this was very welcome.

We were looking for a local spot to try out some conch for the first time so we stopped here for lunch. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a very friendly waiter/bartender who asked what we wanted to drink. When we asked what the locals like to drink, he told us "Bahamas mamas". We asked him what... A local dish and must try in Bahamas! Made from deep fried conch meat and served with a yummy local sauce.

Chicken Caesar burger and small cheeseburger. Very fresh, juicy and flavourful! Burgers are a little messy, get extra napkins!

While in Nassau we had to stop and have some conch fritters so we stopped here before we got back on the boat. I was met by a less than enthused waitress. We order conch fritters and calamari but they were out of the calamari so we got fries. Over all food was so so nothing great and prices were... More

Touristy environment, clean. Somewhat over priced, i think due to central location-its just across the harbour. Cracked conch was a bit rubbery, i had much better elsewhere. They gave us free conch fritters to taste after our meal, didnt like it. Too much pastry like, couldnt even taste conch. Might be a good snack if you r drinking, but certainly... More
