Must Try in Nassau

There were many Fish Fry huts along this stretch and we settled on this one due to the outside atmosphere. A fun authentic food experience in the Bahamas. The portions were large and the service was great. Little heavy handed on the pouring so I was goombay smashed after 3 drinks. I loved the... read more

If you want a taste of the Bahamas, this is the place to go!! I started out with an order of the conch fritters. It was my first time and won't be the last. They were great and fried to perfection. For the meal, I ordered the red snapper plate. This was by far the best fish I ever had!... More

My husband and I went to the Fish Fry for lunch because it was recommended by everyone on the island. We ordered the Conch Fritters (yum) for an appetizer. My husband decided to play it safe and ordered the fried fingers (breaded fish) and fries and I ordered the grilled snapper which came with the head and eyes…yikes, and it... More

We have been to Atlantis many times and heard great things about "Da Fish Fry" so we went for lunch this last time. Overall I wasn't impressed, especially with the Conch (I mean bread) fritters. I really don't think there was any conch at all in these fritters. Tasted like fried bread, that's it. The grouper fingers were much better... More

good food! Large portions, fair prices... Beware of the peddlers outside of the restaurant selling cigars and chasing you down trying to drag you in to restaurants and cab rides! will not return to fish fry for that reason

Big Momma came out and greeted us personally. She posed for a group photo. The fish fingers(grouper) were most delicious. I did remember to count my own fingers after eating😋. There was a steady stream of customers, no empty tables. This may be a tourist attraction, but the locals love this place. I sat across from a General Surgeon and... More

If you want to eat at a good restaurant, look for the one that is full of customers! We were able to grab a table at Andros after waiting next door. The food was superb. This is a must-eat-here place!

The Fish Fry is actually a group of small very casual restaurants frequented by tourists and locals alike. Andros is one of these. It was recommended to us by several local people. We weren't disappointed! Great very fresh grilled and fried fish, conch fritters, mac n cheese all accompanied by a huge mound of peas and rice. Big Mama welcomed... More
