We were on a long vacation and fancied good indian food... This was the choice we came across. The food was not great...and the service wasn't either. The service was slow to say the least-we stood at the bar for 20 minutes and no-body asked if we wanted a drink or even made eye contact. We finally asked for them... More

coke is served from the can from the bar, only half the can comes, so you will pay full price for half a coke, the food is very salty, the dal makhani is terrible, the bread is chewy and tough and the service is worse than terrible, then they have the audacity to automatically add a service charge to the... We struggled to find a place open on a Monday night, a local recommended the Taj Mahal. It looks a little tatty from the outside, it was empty at 7pm. However soon after several locals arrived. Service is laid back and unobtrusive. Food was excellent, lamb rogan josh and a chicken tandoori dish which was spicier than expected. Good naans.... More

We discovered this restaurant after it had been recommended by a local, when we ask where we could find a nice place to eat! Matter of fact, she was going there herself and highly recommended the place. Well... this was not a disappointment. The food was excellent, the service great and the restaurant very beautiful. We went with colleagues of... More

I've eaten here twice over the last 3 weeks. The first time the food was ok but we were overbilled by a large amount. We had lots of drinks and lots of food so it looks very bad on their part as if we wouldnt notice. This past week we went there, the food was better, the bill was accurate... More

Tucked away up Parliament Street, this Indian restaurant is popular with Nassau residents and deservedly so. As well as all the Indian dishes you would expect, you can get English beers on draft here.

What a great surprise! As we wrapped up our fabulous wedding weekend in Nassau, a group of us (12 ppl) who were staying until Monday morning were looking for a place to dine. My Vegan friend suggested the Taj Mahal as a change from the Bahamian fare that we had been eating (knowing that she would be able to eat... More

My sons and I got take out this past summer and although our last visit to the Taj was in 2010, the tandoori, potatoes raita and vindaloo were just as good as we remembered, the nan just as soft and fresh. This restaurant is downtown and parking can be a pain ( one visit one of our tires got stuck... More

Went here on Oct 13 and ordered chicken saag. Chicken was overcooked, spice was totally missing and naan was chewy... Guess if u keep your expectations low, this place might be OK. Being an Indian, I expected some spice and taste at least... Service was disappointing as well - long periods of time before the waitresses showed up. Oh, and... More
