Experienced bahama visitor for 25 years; been to Compass Point since Blackwell owned it and found new owners to have restored the facilities but not the restaurant food. Very no hits and lots of misses. Only good for a sandwich or pizza and little else..but the view. Most food overcooked and tasteless as cook staff took 30 min. for a... more

Our concierge at the hotel said this was the best place on Cable Beach to go for seafood. We paid the $20 cab ride each way to get there from the Sheraton and then by time we had dinner with 1 drink each our food bill was $90 and that was with no dessert or appetizer. So, $130 for basically... more

Our meal at the Compass Point was a highlight of our trip to Nassau in April. We were seated in the open air dining room that is right on the water. Our food was a creative spin on native Bahamian food. My wife had fish and I had a rib plate. The main course, vegetables and salads were all prepared... more

Went to Compass Point with a large group for our farewell dinner. We sat outside and the wind kicked up, so they moved us into a protected area. The waiter refused to give us separate checks, which was going to make things difficult for the size of our group. A bunch of us had the seafood pot pie, which didn't... more

Pretty view, that's all that was good about it, we tried the conch fritter here which well just tasted like anything fried, and we are big nacho fans but *note to self* never expect good Mexican in the Bahamas.. the nachos did not even have real cheese looked like melted cheesewiz pretty gross and for $17.50 you would think its... more

I'd imagine this place is a bit far away if you are staying in Nassau or Cable Beach and dont have your own vehicle (not sure if the legendary #10 bus goes here) but if you can get here then do so. If you head out on the road which follows the coast through Nassau and Cable beach, just after... more

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxing and what I went to the Caribbean to find. You can sit right next to the ocean, and the restaurant is colorful and cheerful. The seafood was fresh, and the cocktails were good. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Very different than my experience at the Sheraton! I also ate... more

I really loved this place, as it is so cheerful and upbeat what with all the vibrant colors that the place sports on its facade and at this restaurant. The colors aside, the prices and food here are nothing less than marvelous. We had a wonderful brunch one Sunday and a great dinner on another occasion and believe me, this... more

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in mid-August 2007. I researched the heck out of this place and every positive thing was true. This is a LOVELY boutique hotel and the thing that stands out among all others is the service and attitude of the staff. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful and you will never... more

My boyfriend took me to Compass Point last year to celebrate my birthday, and what a birthday it was! We stayed in a gorgeous hut with a magnificent view of the clear, blue ocean. Since there seemed to be no more than 18 huts total on the compound, that meant we didn't have to deal with the hordes of tourists... more
