Nice place but no longer a bargain

We love the Poop Deck despite the almost Atlantis like prices because the food is good, it is owned by locals, the view is nice and the wait staff is very friendly. Be sure to get here about 6:00 as it will fill up soon after and this way you can get a table on the rail overlooking the Marina.... read more

While vacationing on Cable Beach at a nearby resort, my husband, daughter and I decided to take up a local's recommendation to try a local seafood restaurant called The Poop Deck, located on West Bay Street. It probably wasn't a good omen that we had been told it was only 3 minutes from our hotel, and wound up walking what... More

Visiting Atlantis, but we're not resort people, and so we read reviews for local eateries in Nassau. After reading a lot of positive reviews for the Poop Deck on trip advisor, we decided to give it a try. Excellent service overall. The food is very fresh. My wife picked her own snapper to grill. I had the grilled fisherman's platter.... More

At the recommendation of a couple of tour operators and general favorable reviews on Trip Advisor, our family walked over to the Poop Deck for some drinks and appetizers hoping to sit outside overlooking the harbor. We arrived at around 4 pm and the bar area was dark and smoky. We asked if we could sit outside and the waitress... More

Ate with 10 friends and no complaints. Food was very good and service was above par. Especially for the islands where usually everyone is on island time. Would call this casual fine dining. Not over the top but nice. I would definitely eat here again. You should go as well!

We enjoyed this evening on recommendations from everyone. Fresh catch and grouper were great ... wait service was friendly. There are stairs to get up to the restaurant and no elevator, so perhaps not appropriate for all. Not the cheapest, but nothing in the Bahamas is.

The Poop Deck by Sandyport is a visual and gastronomic delight. Sit out on the patio overlooking the ocean and the sandy beach. The fare ranges from appetizers to full course meals both traditional Bahamian and Italian being served. Linen table coverings, polite and prompt servers delectable food make for a relaxing meal. After the meal you can sit on... More

The Poop Deck is an old establishment that is sort of a good standby when trying to decide where to go for lunch. The view is much fun looking over the marina and beyond. The décor is really quite hideous with cheap plastic chairs and old tables. The food is really quite mediocre and I had some of the worst... More

We had a great lunch on The Poop Deck and enjoyed a great view of the marina and Paradise Island. Most of us had seafood and all enjoyed it. For those with less than a love of seafood the Angus beef burgers were huge and tasty. I noted one review suggesting the food is expensive. $20-$30 for an entree in... More

We ate at the Sandypoint location on a Saturday night. We were disappointed to see how quiet it was the vibe was dead inside. The waiter was really the only standout during the meal. He gave us 5 star service and made it pleasant dinner. As for the food, it was average at best and extremely expensive. We expected expensive,... More
