Good Meal, Overpriced, Slow Service

Meal was very nice, however, when you are charging 50.00 starting per plate, I expect the service to be great. I get "island time", however, Dune had the worst service of the trip.

I told the chef that I'm vegan and he made me a dish with rice, plantains, and a local spicy sauce. It was really awesome. My friend had some fish that was overcooked, otherwise I'd give them 5-stars. However, she did absolutely love her tuna tartare appetizer. The ambiance cannot be beat. We had a table on the deck and... More

Dear Kristy54321, Thank you for your post. While I regret that the fish was overcooked, I am thrilled that you enjoyed the other parts of your meal. Chef Jean-Georges' Dune menu is unique, and I am glad that his creative, on-island team was able to put together your vegan dish. I hope that you join us again soon. Regards, Carey... More

Visited Dune for what turned out to be a great experience. We were seated inside by a window so we were able to enjoy the view. Our server was knowledgable and helped us with our dining choices. We split the shrimp to start and I had Mahi which was grilled and topped with mango. Dessert was a wonderful chees cake... More

Had a great lunch here. Large group and service was excellent. Prices somewhat high considering choices but portions were more than ample. Dinner prices are extremely high and not that exciting. Would definitely say that lunch is a better option!

Dear MissLady50, Thank you for your review. While you have found your favorite meal period, there are many experiences to be had at Dune: You can savor the traditional Bahamian boiled fish at breakfast, enjoy a jerk chicken sandwich on the beach, sip the One&Only Special cocktail at our bar at sunset or indulge in Chef Jean-Georges’ curried local lobster... This is at the Ocean Club Hotel just a short distance from Atlantis. The views, the vibe, the hotel is just amazing. We had the calamari with jalapenos and it was spectacular as an appetizer. I would totally recommend that. I had the rack of lamb and I can't say enough about it. Others had the grouper and mahi mahi... More

Chef inspired cuisine is wonderful. Certainly try the black plate for starters and the white plate for dessert. Excellent service from a professional staff. Very expensive but worth it.

Breakfast should be included in the price of the room. Lunch & drinks served on the beach was terrific. Didn't have dinner here, but I'm sure it would be terrific.

Ate here with colleagues in Jan 15, it's now under new ownership, though still accepts the room keys from Atlantis as payment. The food and service was excellent throughout. Had the black plate sharing platter starter which was exceptionally thought through and presented, along with the curried lobster for main. Curried lobster?? - sounds terrible but was very subtle and... More

My wife had the grouper ($48) and I had the NY Strip ($60). I loved the steak and the frites that came in a basket along side, it was the best of several steaks we had on the island. My wife also loved the grouper, and this was the best fish she had all week (lobster does not count as... More

Although the location and property are special, the restaurant and service do not justify the prices charged. Arriving at the wonderful James Bond movie entrance, we had to wait behind a party of around 30 attending a corporate event. Once inside this beautiful collection of colonial buildings, the atmosphere was much more relaxing. Can't fault the restaurant but it was... More
