Located in the heart of downtown Bay Street, Athena cafe offers the authentic greek cuisine with a Bahamian flare. Not only you can find the traditional greek favorites here but also Bahamian delicacies such as conch, snapper, grouper and lobster! We are a true, family operated business that want everyone to feel like family as soon as they enter. Have a choice to sit at our cosy bar, our air conditioned dining room or the lively verandah.

Fresh fish options!!!!

Fresh fish options are many! We had red snapper and lamb kbobs. Try the pita and dip appetizer. We were there on the 28th when only one ship at dock. Very friendly family and staff

We stopped by during four shopping adventure to Straw Market. I had a salad and added gyro meat. It was fantastic as well as the Goomba Smash drink. Some of the best Conch on our trip was eaten here and the octopus appetizer was great. Lovely spot on the balcony

Visited Nassua recently and after checking out several businesses along the Main Street wanted a good place for Lunch. We sat outside on the deck above the street and found the beer cold the food good. Service is on island time but this is good. We all need to learn and chill like the beer and enjoy!

Stopped in for a bite and drinks during a downpour. Nice ambiance, staff was courteous and professional. The drink prices were average for the location, $5.50 for a Kalik and $6.95 for a rum and pineapple. The conch fritters ($10) were ok, better at any Fish Fry location. The grouper gyro was ok as well--a bit light on the grouper.... More

Awesome burger with so many great flavors that marry together. With the lamb, spice from the arugula, fresh and cool tzatziki, the slivers of red onion, juicy tomato and the kick form the feta and olives, you can't go wrong! From our team, we thank you for your visit and we hope to see you on your next trip here... More

Excellent food! We've come here every year for the last five years. The owner and his children run the place. The atmosphere is amazing. Be sure to order the saganaki (flaming cheese) yum!

OPA! Got cheese! Isn't the cheese so addictive, you can't just get enough! Flambéed with greek brandy table side with a warm pita, and finished with fresh lemon! Delish! Thank you for the repeat patronage and see you soon! More

This is a good option on Nassau's Bay Street. They have daily "specials", freshly made, and the service is fast and attentive. This restaurant belongs to a Greek family which has a jewelry shop on the ground floor, and one can see that they are watching that everything goes well. Will return when we go back to Nassau.

My twenty something son and I landed in Nassau at 10 am and went looking around Paradise Island for something to do. If you aren't staying at Atlantis, there isn't much, except for the public beach. Catching a cab about 11, we headed for the busier area of town where we found the Athena. Next door to the Hard Rock... More

We are glad that you found us on your venture in town! A lot of people don't look up and do not realize that there is a restaurant located upstairs until you smell the great greek aromas. Thank you for your patronage and we hope to be on your must visit again list on your next trip! More

We went to lunch at the Athena, and found it an excellent place for lunch. The service is good, the owner came by our table to see if everything was ok. Would recommend this restaurant as we found everything well prepared and tasty.
