Nice location, sitting outside and watching the street scenes below. I had the lamb gyro for lunch and it was huge and packed full of meat. I really enjoyed this place, but check when they are open. Usually closed after 4 pm or so.

My husband and I along with our friends make this a priority when we visit Nassau. The food is authentic greek cuisine and we always enjoy our meals. The service is quick, friendly and professional and we always leave wanting more. The prices are very reasonable given the quality of food they serve. We can't wait to come back!

An excellent family owned Greek restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of Greek specialties, all excellent. It's a second floor outdoor balcony, fun to people watch. The family all work and are very friendly and helpful, suggestions of places to see and where to visit. Definitely worth a lunch or dinner.

Having a restaurant located in the heart of down town, most of clients opt to seat outside on the verandah to people watch while having a cocktail and fresh food. It's a lot of fun, filled with action on this main strip in the day time. Thanks for the positive input and we look forward to serving you again. See... More

Stopped in for a drink while on a cruise. Bartender was very friendly - not to mention the great drinks. I highly recommend the conch fritters. Best I've ever had! Lightly breaded and perfectly fried. We felt very welcome here.

A Nassau native named Louie recommended this restaurant and he absolutely nailed it. We wanted to try local cuisine and Athena has the local food. We tried the conch fritters and the grouper fingers and sipped some cocktails. We sat on the balcony and soaked up the ambiance! Our server George was A+ and I recommend this for couples. It... If the locals say come eat at Athena Cafe, you know it has to be good! Being a greek restaurant we do not limit our menu to our theme but we do offer great local favorites. For those who would like to try the Bahamian specialties or those who are not too adventurous on trying the greek we do offer... More

We only had drinks here as we needed a rest in the shade. I came here because it used to be the Iguana and the balcony overlooks the main street. I was pleased the Athena is so nice and still has the same quiet balcony I remember. The staff are all really friendly and we will definitely go again but... More

We come here every year, (sometimes 2 or 3 times on our Nassau vacations) for the last 5 years. It's amazing to us that the staff always remember us year to year. It's a great family-run restaurant. Our kids talk about Athena's all year, "I can't wait to go back to OPA!". We can't either. Never a disappointing meal here--we... More

The spanakopita with a greek salad is the perfect combination for a healthy, light and scrumptious lunch. My aunt makes the baklava that is not overpoweringly sweet, just right. Thank you for stoping by and hope to see you soon. More

Best greek salad ever! Nice place to sit outside and watch the world go by. Very convenient location if you need a break from shopping and need a place that is close to your cruise ship.

Thank you for stopping by for a great, healthy meal like the famous greek salad that we carry. We have a farm that we cultivate seasonal vegetables that we incorporate in our fresh greek salads. The imported buttery feta is the cream of the crop! Our homemade dressing plays a great role in our salads too! We hope to see... More

Centrally located and easy to find. Menu is genuinely Greek, also with concessions to the local specialties. Staff was very friendly and communicated in some languages.
