All of the sushi was fantastic and beautifully presented. Chicken Alfredo one night was delicious, but on a later night the chicken was gristly. The curry was mild but delicious. Fish and chips and catch of the day were very good. The vegetarian burger was bland and flavorless. The beef burger and hummus were average.

We went to Caneel Beach Bar and Grill and were so surprised that the food was only average despite being very expensive. The resort is spectacular of course and worth a trip, and maybe I just got the wrong dish. It does have a huge menu that looked yummy, and the setting is very nice. The server was very kind... More

This spot at the beautiful Caneel Bay Resort has a wide variety of food options that are truly excellent. My husband and I dined here on two occasions during our stay at the resort and in both instances the food and service were excellent. While this is not one of the "fine dining" venues at this resort, the food is... More

If you are staying at Caneel bay resort- this is a great place to go for casual dining. We came here twice for dinner during our 5 night stay. Great variety of food. Service was a little slow.

Seems to me that the Beach Bar has always been a weak link at Caneel Bay. It appears that the food at the bar has been elevated from truly bad to pretty decent. Offerings are what you might expect, burgers, sandwiches, chicken fingers for the kids. I had a jerk quesadilla this year that was pretty good. The best thing... More

There are just too many good places to eat on St. John now. The only reason to eat here is if you are staying at Caneel Bay. The inflated prices compensate for not having to hire a taxi to go into town

We've eaten there this week a several times and the food & service was always very good! I heartily recommend the lobster tacos, the prosciutto/ cheese sandwich, the chicken sandwich, the sushi (excellent), and their special burger. A great place to relax for lunch between swims, after a wonderful morning sail (with Greg & Barb on Spitfire) or in the... More

LIKED. Fish and chips, Bistro steak and sushi were real good. DISLIKED Pizza at $24 not so much. Lighting at night could be better in the back corner, we had to use flashlights to read menus.

Most of the items on the menu are pretty average but the sushi was really good with interesting rolls. It all looks so beautiful too. You can walk to or from Honeymoon Beach to this restaurant so it's a good way to make most of a day out of it. They don't mind if you show up in a t-shirt... More

I am gluten free and found out after eating some foods that they were not gluten free. I was told originally that they were. That should NEVER happen and they were not very apologetic. As a result I was not feeling well for most of my vacation.
