Description: St. John Scoops is the island's one and only place for homemade ices and creams. We make everything in-house and fresh every day! This means that our flavors are constantly changing, so what you see on the menu one day can be completely different the next day! We offer local fruit flavors like passion fruit, mango, and guava, along with old-time staples like strawberry and vanilla. We mix it up a bit by throwing in some local honey and lavender, or some St. John Brewer's Root Beer (yes, as an ice cream)! Don't worry, we also make some amazing chocolate, cookies & cream, and pistachio among the many other flavors on the rotation. Did we mention that we have something for just the big kids, too? That's right, rum raisin with real rum, painkiller ice cream, champagne sorbet, and the list does go on! When you walk by, you're sure to smell those fresh waffle cones being made...Nothing like a fresh scoop on a fresh cone, that's for sure! We are excited to offer vegan, superfood smoothies made with whole fresh frozen fruits (NO ICE) and an array of amazingly healthy additions to keep minds and bodies happy! Add some hemp or plant protein to make it a complete meal, and you won't feel so bad about all the bars you hit the night before. Virgin Island Coffee Roasters' Fair Trade Organic Sumatran Blend is served hot all day long for those in need of that caffeine buzz. We have lots of options for dairy-free and gluten-free guests, including sorbets and our yummy Slush Puppies.

Name says it all. Who doesn't like berries, booze and ice cream? Wife had the strawberry and it was quite tasty.

$5 gets you 2 good size scoops of ice cream. And you can mix it up and pick two flavors. The offerings are always changing and I would recommend getting outside your usual flavors. The blueberry pomegranate took the top of my head off. So much flavor. We went at least four times during the week we were there. Oh... More

After having dinner we asked a local where to go for good ice cream. They recommended Scoops and it was great! I had the mint chocolate chip (called grasshopper) and it was the best I have ever had. The waffle cones were fresh and crisp. (Not a small feat on a hot and humid day). The rest of our group... More

We both got a $5 ice cream cup because the cones were $7. They don't offer tastes to see what you like. I didn't like that because the flavors are not your usual flavors. We ended up liking what we got, but the ice cream was not appreciably better than ice cream at other places in the States.

If you are in St. John's you must try this place. We found it on our way to walking to the Mongoose junction. I think it was the only Ice cream shop we found. The Waffles are so fresh and homemade , they kind of taste like gingerbread cookies. I am not a big fan of Oreo cookie ice cream... More

My husband and I had scoops three times this trip. Best mint choco chip I have ever had. Chocolate was also really good. My husband liked the rum raisin and guava, but all the flavors we tried were good. I had the waffle cone once and didn't really care for it, but I don't like them at home either. They... More

We visited twice during our trip! My husband tried the alcoholic ice cream which he enjoyed! i had the Pieces (PB/chocolate) and that was wonderful. You can tell they take pride in their business and service was excellent. Splurge for the homemade waffle cones - pretty much the best i've ever had! It's a bit pricey, but compared to what... More

St. John Scoops is all about ice cream done right. They have a variety of standard flavors such as vanilla, a rich chocolate, chip mint (Grasshopper), as well as, refreshing island originals like key lime pie, blueberry pomegrate and more. They have homemade waffle cones and offer iceys, smoothies, and other refreshing treats for those people who are not ice... More
