St. John Scoops is the island's one and only place for homemade ices and creams. We make everything in-house and fresh every day! This means that our flavors are constantly changing, so what you see on the menu one day can be completely different the next day! We offer local fruit flavors like passion fruit, mango, and guava, along with old-time staples like strawberry and vanilla. We mix it up a bit by throwing in some local honey and lavender, or some St. John Brewer's Root Beer (yes, as an ice cream)! Don't worry, we also make some amazing chocolate, cookies & cream, and pistachio among the many other flavors on the rotation. Did we mention that we have something for just the big kids, too? That's right, rum raisin with real rum, painkiller ice cream, champagne sorbet, and the list does go on! When you walk by, you're sure to smell those fresh waffle cones being made...Nothing like a fresh scoop on a fresh cone, that's for sure! We are excited to offer vegan, superfood smoothies made with whole fresh frozen fruits (NO ICE) and an array of amazingly healthy additions to keep minds and bodies happy! Add some hemp or plant protein to make it a complete meal, and you won't feel so bad about all the bars you hit the night before. Virgin Island Coffee Roasters' Fair Trade Organic Sumatran Blend is served hot all day long for those in need of that caffeine buzz. We have lots of options for dairy-free and gluten-free guests, including sorbets and our yummy Slush Puppies.

Ice Milk

I enjoy sampling many different ice cream spots when I'm on vacation, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst. I ordered cookies and cream and my partner ordered butter almond/pecan. The ice cream tasted like ice milk. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch for both flavors, but it was grainy... read more

We were in St John a year ago, the first week Scoops opened. It was so delicious every time that we went back several times in three weeks. My grandson begged to go there every day, and still talks about Scoops on a regular basis. It will be one of the first places we hit when we're back next winter;... More

Yummy! We hit this place a couple of times. $5 for a cup of ice cream was expensive but oh so good! The waffle cones are made fresh right in front of you.

After a hot day in paradise, I couldn't think of a better way to cool off than these homemade, unique flavors. The coconut and spiced chai made my tastebuds dance! If you're feeling frisky, add a shot of rum, too! And don't forget the homemade waffle cone!

I have yet to have something at this ice cream shop that I don't live. Homemade ice cream that is truly the best on island. The waffle cone is a must! Homemade its lovely aroma just draws you to this little retro ice cream shop. It's pretty spendy ($7 for two scoops with a waffle cone) which is why I... More

I admit it..I love ice cream (and pancakes!) I worked for an Ice cream shop when I was a teen and learned all I could about handmade ice cream and I was a master at making waffle cones! My lovely surprise in Mongoose Junction came in the form of St John Scoops! You see, I'm moving to St John this... More

The smell of the homemade waffle cones is so intoxicating and highly effective...we were lured in three nights in a row, although their ice cream choices were diminishing each night as apparently the head ice cream maker only makes it a few times a week! The ice cream is delicious and service prompt...definitely worth a visit if only for those... More

Painkiller ice cream! This place is awesome! Friendly staff and Great fresh made waffle cones too. I wish we had found this place sooner. We will be back. If you're on St. John you've got to stop by this place.

Had a great visit to Scoops last week (more than once, actually!). All of the staff took great care of us, and offered suggestions from their extensive list of choices. My favorite was the salted caramel! Enjoying it in a waffle cone would be my recommendation!
