St. John Scoops is the island's one and only place for homemade ices and creams. We make everything in-house and fresh every day! This means that our flavors are constantly changing, so what you see on the menu one day can be completely different the next day! We offer local fruit flavors like passion fruit, mango, and guava, along with old-time staples like strawberry and vanilla. We mix it up a bit by throwing in some local honey and lavender, or some St. John Brewer's Root Beer (yes, as an ice cream)! Don't worry, we also make some amazing chocolate, cookies & cream, and pistachio among the many other flavors on the rotation. Did we mention that we have something for just the big kids, too? That's right, rum raisin with real rum, painkiller ice cream, champagne sorbet, and the list does go on! When you walk by, you're sure to smell those fresh waffle cones being made...Nothing like a fresh scoop on a fresh cone, that's for sure! We are excited to offer vegan, superfood smoothies made with whole fresh frozen fruits (NO ICE) and an array of amazingly healthy additions to keep minds and bodies happy! Add some hemp or plant protein to make it a complete meal, and you won't feel so bad about all the bars you hit the night before. Virgin Island Coffee Roasters' Fair Trade Organic Sumatran Blend is served hot all day long for those in need of that caffeine buzz. We have lots of options for dairy-free and gluten-free guests, including sorbets and our yummy Slush Puppies.

Homemade delicious ice cream in Cruz Bay

We are regulars here and love everything on the menu especially the alcoholic flavors that pack a punch and are well worth the $6 for a cup. $5 for the non-alcoholic cup. The freshly made cones smell delicious and make for some lovely aromatherapy around Mongoose Junction.

This place is normally crowded. I had the salted caramel and threw it away after a few bites. The ice cream had almost no flavor. Others in or group had the chipped raspberry and said it was OK. Another had the cookies and cream and liked it. I was not impressed with my first visit but may try another flavor... More

Made it a habit to visit St John Scoops each evening. I would not recommend the S mores Ice cream but by our last stop, it was removed from the menu (so maybe someone else felt the same way). Everything else was wonderful. The guy working there was so pleasant. There was a group of young (intoxicated!) boys in front... More

We had ice cream there twice. Noticed the smell of the waffle cones as we were driving by Mongoose junction and had to find out what smelled so good. They make their cones fresh through the day. Wide selection of ice cream and toppings. You can also get several adult add ins and drinks. It is definitley worth a visit... More

I enjoy sampling many different ice cream spots when I'm on vacation, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst. I ordered cookies and cream and my partner ordered butter almond/pecan. The ice cream tasted like ice milk. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch for both flavors, but it was grainy and not very flavorful. It tasted... More

We were in St John a year ago, the first week Scoops opened. It was so delicious every time that we went back several times in three weeks. My grandson begged to go there every day, and still talks about Scoops on a regular basis. It will be one of the first places we hit when we're back next winter;... More

Yummy! We hit this place a couple of times. $5 for a cup of ice cream was expensive but oh so good! The waffle cones are made fresh right in front of you.

After a hot day in paradise, I couldn't think of a better way to cool off than these homemade, unique flavors. The coconut and spiced chai made my tastebuds dance! If you're feeling frisky, add a shot of rum, too! And don't forget the homemade waffle cone!

I have yet to have something at this ice cream shop that I don't live. Homemade ice cream that is truly the best on island. The waffle cone is a must! Homemade its lovely aroma just draws you to this little retro ice cream shop. It's pretty spendy ($7 for two scoops with a waffle cone) which is why I... More
