The Barefoot Cowboy Lounge is an average BBQ joint as compared to BBQ joints in the US. As for the islands, the food is above average (especially if you are looking to get away from fried foods.) We initially tried the "All you can eat Tuesday" and I would say it was worth the $20 cash. The chicken legs were... More

We thought we would get so e good BBQ, however I found it to be overpoweringly smokey and the corn was soggy and beans bland and unseasoned. The gentleman working there was not very friendly and acted bothered to even serve us. When my husband payed for the meal he was not even offered change back, the employee just kept... More

We wandered in to the Barefoot Cowboy early in our visit to STJ, and ended up coming back for a 2nd time! The owner and chef Wayne recommended that if we enjoyed ourselves, we needed to visit for All You Can Eat night, and we certainly weren't disappointed! There was disagreement at our table over which of the flavorful meats... More

The restaurant is cash only. The owner is not friendly and the food was nothing to write home about, at all. We were sadly disappointed.

We were in St. John in the summer of 2013 and ate at the Barefoot Cowboy twice. We'll be back to St. John, and we will go back to Barefoot Cowboy at least once on the trip. It's great barbeque.

Food was excellent! We ordered the all-you-can eat special, which includes pulled pork BBQ, a 1/4 of BBQ chicken, brisket, three sides and bread. The sides rotate daily, and we had cole slaw, beans and corn on the cob. It was so much food on the first round there was no way I was ordering more - I didn't even... More

I went to the BCL tonight for the all you can eat BAR B Q. It was better today than it was when I ate it there in the past. They must have stopped using the sauce they did in the past that I didnt care for. So I am glad they did. And the bartender (cali) i referrenced in... More

We made a stop here to enjoy something different on the island. Once you find the entry way in the alley, you walk in to another world that is not St. John. Beware of drunken people who may be shooting darts as you enter the restaurant. The food is satisfying. The meat is tasty, the sides pure and simple, and... More

Quite possibly the best brisket I've ever had. The Barefoot Cowboy attains a smokey flavor unparalleled by other smokehouses I've been to. Servings sizes were ample, with smoked meats accompanied by beans, a light but tasty slaw, and bread. It's a small setting with a fantastic view overlooking Cruz Bay. We were there during Carnival and I had a fantastic... More
