Friendly Budget Inn on St John

The Inn at Tamarind Court has a decades-long tradition on St John, providing safe, budget-friendly rooms with AC and shower in the heart of Cruz Bay. The staff is welcoming and always ready to help guests. The breakfast is not only safe to eat, but usually quite tasty.

Best breakfast on the Island but try the dinner! The Prime Rib on Friday is excellent and the Mexican offerings are top notch. Oh, Greek Night ain't bad either!

It doesn't have bright shiny lights or a giant billboard but this hidden little kitchen and bar is the best of the best when it comes to food, service and happiness. Without a doubt the best breakfast on island (I highly recommend the steak and eggs or biscuits and gravy) and the fresh made daily diverse dinner menu will keep... More

We came here for Friday night Caribbean Night and it was by far the best meal we had on the island. The inn brings in guest chefs and the entire thing seemed like an authentic, family-run affair. The chef in the kitchen was the aunt of our waitress. When we asked for hot sauce, she said, "My uncle makes this... More

My wife and I had a fine dinner at the Tamarind Court on a quiet Sunday evening. The lobster bisque was a big hit! We also had some great seafood (the dinner special - tuna). Dinners are great, but the brunch is even better! Eggs Benedict with fresh squeezed juice - ahh, fantastic.

The Tamarind is one of the secret finds of STJ. Friendly staff; funky setting; menu change every night; huge portions; breakfast that the locals flock to so you know it's good; anti-tourist trap which is why we love it. Highly recommended

It's great because there is a different cuisine each night...Greek, Chinese, Bistro, Prime Rib, Caribbean!
