It doesn't have bright shiny lights or a giant billboard but this hidden little kitchen and bar is the best of the best when it comes to food, service and happiness. “Best Meal on the Island”

We came here for Friday night Caribbean Night and it was by far the best meal we had on the island. The inn brings in guest chefs and the entire thing seemed like an authentic, family-run affair. “Great dinners - but don't miss brunch!”

My wife and I had a fine dinner at the Tamarind Court on a quiet Sunday evening. The lobster bisque was a big hit! We also had some great seafood (the dinner special - tuna). Dinners are great, but the brunch is even better! Eggs Benedict with fresh squeezed juice - ahh, fantastic.

The Tamarind is one of the secret finds of STJ. Friendly staff; funky setting; menu change every night; huge portions; breakfast that the locals flock to so you know it's good; anti-tourist trap which is why we love it. Highly recommended
