Serving Funky Southeast Asian Inspired Cuisine! We serve our food in an unconventional manner, where there are no appetizers or entrees. The food comes out of the kitchen as it is prepared by the Chef. Therefore, we recommend ordering several dishes off of the menu and encourage sharing. Our cuisine is made up of locally sourced ingredients when available. Our flavor profiles are comprised of spice, sweet, sour, salty, and savory. Our cocktails are just as flavorful and as interesting as our cuisine. All of our wines were sourced from Michael Skurnik Wines and were hand-picked by Michael himself. The wines were selected to complement the wide variety of flavors in our cuisine and they were shipped in temperature controlled containers to ensure the integrity of the wines. We believe this style of dining creates an intimate, comfortable, and fun atmosphere. We serve sophisticated dishes in an unpretentious manner. If you are a diner looking for a traditional dining experience, there are lots of other great restaurants on island, come in for a drink and we'll recommend a few.Live well and be happy!

Don't let the location fool you, cute place, great food. Sushi was fabulous. At first look I wasn't excited about the menu selection but in the end very glad we went, food was really, really good.

very poor wine list, unappetizing food - our worst meal on Cruz Bay; limited menu with poor location yet still fairly expensive

Our family had our best meal in Cruz Bay at the Fatty Crab. Our fish was prepared from every angle: sushi, nigiri, sauteed and pan seared; all were absolutely delicious. The service was warm and friendly. Wendy B.

We were interested in The Fatty Crab because we heard they are a great alternative to all the regular Caribbean style food offered on St. John. Also, we had heard about the NYC location and it's a Foodie favorite. We are admitted foodies. :) I loved the small plates/share concept, and the menu looked awesome, but overall the food fell... I had spotted this place on-line before my trip. I am happy to say that the food was just what I had hoped for. The green papaya salad was great and the crab cakes to die for!! My husband and I had to go twice during our visit! Drinks are also delicious!

We think this is the best restaurant on the island. Been visiting SJ for over 20 years and eaten everywhere, many times. The food is creatively prepared, fresh and absolutely flavorful and delicious. I can't stop thinking about that Chupacabra cocktail with a bit of heat to it, such a great way to start a meal. We shared several small... More

Friends of ours recommended this place, we shared 5 plates (2 small, 3 large) adequate portion sizes & good service. Pad thai & beef brisket are a must try.

Odd name, but great food and service. Servers know their stuff. Get the fried rice, it's outstanding! The pulled pork is also worth trying! We've been the last four trips to STJ and all experiences were great!

My father raves about the Fatty Crab. The menu has changed from 2 years ago, although the menu is different, the food is just as good. Everything is marked if it's gluten free which is nice. tapas style with an Asian flare. We absolutely loved all the dishes that we ordered. we started with kimchi which was very good, pad... More
