Description: Serving Funky Southeast Asian Inspired Cuisine! We serve our food in an unconventional manner, where there are no appetizers or entrees. The food comes out of the kitchen as it is prepared by the Chef. Therefore, we recommend ordering several dishes off of the menu and encourage sharing. Our cuisine is made up of locally sourced ingredients when available. Our flavor profiles are comprised of spice, sweet, sour, salty, and savory. Our cocktails are just as flavorful and as interesting as our cuisine. All of our wines were sourced from Michael Skurnik Wines and were hand-picked by Michael himself. The wines were selected to complement the wide variety of flavors in our cuisine and they were shipped in temperature controlled containers to ensure the integrity of the wines. We believe this style of dining creates an intimate, comfortable, and fun atmosphere. We serve sophisticated dishes in an unpretentious manner. If you are a diner looking for a traditional dining experience, there are lots of other great restaurants on island, come in for a drink and we'll recommend a few.Live well and be happy!

Went while on vaca in st Johns. The staff tells you up front that the food comes out one dish at a time which to me isn't ideal but when it comes out its good. Pad Thai was awesome. Shrimp also great. Satay great. Fried chicken was just ok. Waiter was a bit of a wise guy when questioned about... More

Fatty Crab is by far the best restaurant in Saint John. I live in NYC and I enjoy dining out regularly, but rarely do I think to myself, wow that meal was extremely memorable, but that's what I thought at Fatty Crab. We ate dinner here twice during our stay. Everything was great, but the beef brisket and steak salad... More

From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was superb!! Great drink menu with a lot of variety. The food is fantastic! Great flavor and good portion size. The service is stellar! Mike and Brandon were very knowledgable about the food menu, happy to chat and poured up amazing cocktails. And, the music selection kept things alive!! I... More

The Fatty Crab was certainly one of our favorite stops during our trip to St. John. The atmosphere was trendy and modern, while still feeling laid back. We were thankful to have made a reservation because the tables were full, but the friendly staff was accommodating to walk ups. Family style dishes gave us the opportunity to try multiple things... First off, this restaurant didn't get any recommendations from the hotels. We heard about it from a family at the beach. We tried all the 'recommended' restaurants and left with empty pockets and typical island service. When we stumbled into the Fatty Crab, we were greeted with a comfortable, welcome that followed through our entire dinner. The service was excellent,... More

What an amazing unexpected meal. This place is small, and looks a little on the run down side, but inside the place is nice and the food is beyond amazing. We are normally pretty conservative eaters, but this place is so out of the box but there was nothing that we didn't love. Pad Thai, crispy shrimp, Brussel Sprouts w/... More

We ate at the Fatty Crab two nights of the four on the island. We also hit Rhumb Lines and LaTapa and both were very good but preferred the Fatty Crab for food, service, and bar scene. The service is some of the most attentive on the island hitting that balance between anticipating a request and leaving you to enjoy... More
