Description: Serving Funky Southeast Asian Inspired Cuisine! We serve our food in an unconventional manner, where there are no appetizers or entrees. The food comes out of the kitchen as it is prepared by the Chef. Therefore, we recommend ordering several dishes off of the menu and encourage sharing. Our cuisine is made up of locally sourced ingredients when available. Our flavor profiles are comprised of spice, sweet, sour, salty, and savory. Our cocktails are just as flavorful and as interesting as our cuisine. All of our wines were sourced from Michael Skurnik Wines and were hand-picked by Michael himself. The wines were selected to complement the wide variety of flavors in our cuisine and they were shipped in temperature controlled containers to ensure the integrity of the wines. We believe this style of dining creates an intimate, comfortable, and fun atmosphere. We serve sophisticated dishes in an unpretentious manner. If you are a diner looking for a traditional dining experience, there are lots of other great restaurants on island, come in for a drink and we'll recommend a few.Live well and be happy!

Oddly enough, they do not have any crab at Fatty Crab's. It is all south east asia cuisine. The blend of flavors used in every dish was absolutely delicious. We tried several things on our first visit and loved each and every one. When deciding where to go on our last night, we considered several restaurants we heard great things... More

This restaurant has an unusual mix of Asian fusion and island seafood, with great deserts. The service was very friendly and attentive and the good was very good. We had a fried whole red snapper, fish sliders, spicy ramen soup, and for desert pannacotta and fried bananas. Definitely worth the trip.

There's just nothing else like the Fatty Crab on St. John. The vibe, the staff, the inventive food, amazing drinks and wine list, just an overall standout. In our week on St. John, we ate here 3 times - sampling many of the amazing little plates on offer. Dont miss the fish sliders, veggie tempura, pad thai, steak salad, Indonesian... More

The variety of menu options was a highlight. Food was well prepared and very tasty. Good service and reasonable prices. Particularly like the brisket with tamarind marmalade

We are big fans of Fatty Crab and Fatty Cue in NYC. And we could not have been more happy to find them in this culinary wasteland. Gorgeous beaches, horrible food. Even the 'finest dining establishments' were uninspired. Cheers to Fatty Crab and if you go to St John make sure to make a reservation. For more than one night!

Finally made it to fatty crab. The decor was tasteful and sound tracks playing in the background tied everything together creating this hippster vibe that feels differnent than the other restaturants on STJ. Food is shared on the table much like tapas style and the food was top notch. Between the 2 of us we had the pad thai, the... More

I truly like the look and feel of Fatty Crab. The name itself is intriguing. I just wish the food was as exceptional as the decor. It fell short in my opinion. Dishes were varied and unique. Portion seems small compared to the price. Table space should be slightly larger. Found myself having to rearrange flat and stoneware to stay... More

I love this food. We had a big group so ordered lots of the dishes - everything was excellent, particularly the brisket, pork belly with pickled watermelon, and mahi special. It seems they have toned down the spices for a tourist crowd as the spice level seemed much lower than in their New York locations. But still it is delicious... More

I thought this would be a typical seafood restaurant, but it was more of a "foodie" type of place. We ordered a papaya salad that wasn't so great, but my husband got the mahi sliders and said they were excellent. I ordered some kind of rice/meat dish that was really good, as well. The staff was really friendly and happy.... More

The Fatty Crab is an eclectic menu that has small plates and large plates that are meant to be shared. Its is a great spot that allows you to watch the world go by while enjoying a great meal. The service is good and can make nice suggestions to order. We ordered about 6 dishes for a party of 4... More
