Like the waves that crash on our beaches, our islands are full of people that come and go. Like the boats that leave our docks filled with guests that want to stay, our gates wave goodbye to friends who want to remain for one more drink, one more bite of the best the ocean has to offer, or one more minute of closing their eyes and smelling the salt in the sea and listening to the caress of the ocean against the sand. We know your time here is precious, everyone comes here to escape, to go on adventures with people they love the most. Here, we make it our vocation to help you experience the best of what the Virgin Islands has to offer. Our chefs have mastered both local and international cuisine, bartenders have figured out the best way to put spirit in our spirits, and all of our staff is happy to see you. Honestly, we think there's no better backdrop to relax with friends or family, close that business deal, or even make the life-long commitment to the person you love the most. We'll see you when the tide comes in.

Great place for a relaxing lunch

We went to High Tide for lunch with friends while visiting St. John. My husband feared that it might be too hot for lunch, but we found it to be a cool and relaxing spot right by the water at Cruz Bay. Great bar too! Our meals were all delicious. Excellent seafood tacos! The guys were happy... read more

The location is beautiful. Right next to the Ferry Pier in Cruz Bay. They serve unlimited coffee or ice coffee with breakfast. I had the vegetable omelet every day. (I am a Celiac so not gluten.) It was a very good omelet. My wife had the banana pancakes one day and really liked them.

I loved this place so much I came back 3 times-twice for lunch, once for brunch! The calamari was some of the best I've had! The breakfast quesadillas were awesome! Great drinks, great service! Right next to ferry dock and shopping! Breakfast places not easy to find but this place has it and it's good food reasonably priced!! Can't wait... More

We spent a week on St. John in April. Right near the ferry dock is High Tide Bar. We tried High Tide for breakfast the first morning we were on the island. It has a great location right on the beach/water. The food was good, but my brother in law had a little issue after breakfast which are are sure... More

We're really sorry about your brother-in-law's incident with the guacamole, Bob. While our food should come out fine the first time around, it sounds like everything was resolved. We're glad your second visit was without any problems, and you got to enjoy a wonderful view. All the best, High Tide More

Once we got off the ferry I saw High Tide and thought we might not go there since it was the FIRST restaurant you see upon arrival. I'm glad we tossed that to the side because we had conch fritters to die for, and rum punch! YUMMMMM! You get to keep the water cups and I am so bummed because... More

Aw man, sorry that you forgot the water cups! We're glad you tossed that notion as well -- especially since you really enjoyed the conch fritters and rum punch. Next time you're in the area, we'd love to see you again. Just don't leave the water cups behind! Safe travels, High Tide More

We travel to St. John every year. We visit High Tide often. Great food, strong drinks, and an incredible view. Music on many evenings. This place has been around for a long time for a reason.

You're right: There are many reasons why we've been around for a long time, but the most important one is the continued support from wonderful guests like you. Thanks so much for letting us serve you over the years, and here's to many more lovely evenings to come. Safe travels always, High Tide More

This was our first dinner location upon landing at the St John dock and the last place we hit on the way out. Good and affordable breakfast ($10pp w/o alcohol), and the view is great. First thing I did upon arriving on the ferry was walk 50 ft to High Tide, grab a drink, and watched the sunset over Cruz... More

We hung out here several times - whether for a drink or food. The people were fun and the food very tasty! Pain Killers...yes, I miss you.

Cruzan dark rum with orange and pineapple juice with coconut topped with freshly grated nutmeg? Yup. That's the way to do it. Glad to hear we were a go to spot, and we hope to see you back next time you're on the islands. Best, High Tide More
