Awesome ambiance and loved the reggae band on Friday night! Thought cooking our appetizers on a Himalayan salt block was a unique and fun experience! Our entrees were good too, as was the mango creme brulee dessert. All in all, a very good place to dine in Mongoose Junction!

We went here on our last night of vacation because they had live music. The reggae band was uninspired to say the least. The 3 guys looked like they wanted to be anywhere else but there. Unusual menu. The jambalaya was good according to one diner. My steak was perfect. The roasted pork was dry. Good service.

Thanks for the review. Bands can be a little tricky in a restaurant setting: sometimes too loud, or off putting for any number of reasons. St. John's Inner Visions Reggae Band, who you heard, can play so gently that they sort of blend in to the scene and serve more toward ambiance than entertainment. Having hosted many bands in many... Went there for happy hour and learned entertainment was only on Friday. Only certain uninteresting drinks were offered at Happy Hour prices and small plates were at half price. Ordered a rum drink with lemonade which was boring, But the shrimp were excellent. Would not make a special trip to go back since there are so many other places on... More

Hi Marcia, Thanks for the review. Just a few notes on it for accuracy. Our current Live Music Schedule, posted on our website, has two weekly offerings, Wednesday Gypsy Jazz and Country Swing 6 to 9 with The Hot Club of Coral Bay, and Fridays with Inner Visions, St. John's reggae ambassadors to the world. Both are booked for season... More

This was our second visit to Virgin Fire and we had great experiences both times. We love the seating outside, although the salt lamps on the inside tables make that a great atmosphere as well. The salt block appetizer is fun and tasty and our main courses were delicious. Our server was attentive, we didn't feel rushed at all and... More

We liked the ambiance and decor, sitting on the patio felt like dinning join the New Orleans. Service was a bit slow, but cordial. We ordered flat bread pizzas and they were good, bit not exceptional. We would come back again and try something else on their menu, hopefully the service will be more energetic and attentive.

We went here after a long day of zip lining on St. Thomas. We were all starving. The food was great. I recommend the mac and cheese. The service could have been a little better. Overall, I would go back.

This was our second time back. We were so excited that they have have been so successful. The service is excellent. The salt block is a must as an appetizer. The entrees were fantastic. We had a wonderful wahoo special. The expresso martini was awesome. A must go

I dined here on a night when a 3 piece band was playing, guitar, mandolin and stand up base. The drinks were well made and the draft porter excellent. I had the fresh wahoo cerviche and the coconut shrimp, both delicious. The Tibetan salt block dish was very tempting. The owners, Michael and Barbi, have a great establishment.

Thanks, David! We very much appreciate the very positive review, and very glad that you enjoyed. I'm not sure if you got the headline right for the review; "Usual Menu....." and are thinking you meant "Unusual" menu. With the menu, we do strive to do things a little differently. We offer a dozen appetizers, and with the salads, flatbreads and... More

Our group of four recently visited Virgin Fire as we wanted to try out something new on STJ. We had stopped by previously and examined the menu and were certainly tempted enough to return. My wife and I shared the Salt Block appetizer and were very pleasantly surprised. It was like nothing we had ever tried before, and besides the... More

We stopped in for 2 for 1 apps and Painkillers on the way back from Trunk Bay. The food was excellent and the service was great! Michael took very good care of us. I would definitely recommend!
