We spent several evenings at the Virgin fire bar for happy hour. Fantastic bartender: attentive - great service. I found a new island favorite: orange vodka (or citrus rum) with lemonade and a splash of sprite...so good. Plenty of happy hour food specials to choose from: shrimp skewers and the island fries were big winners. Dinner was pretty good the... More

Thanks for the repeat visits and glad you generally enjoyed... Our rule is that if the ingredients are in the house, that we will (within reason) make up what you would like and it is certainly easy enough for us to top off a pasta dish with a different protein. I can also recommend our house made Hot Sauce, if... More

Visited Virgin Fire for the first time in October, which is off-season for the island. Many of my favorite restaurants were closed so we gave this a try. The space is huge with lots of seating in the dining room and bars, we chose the terrace which was lovely. Service was excellent, very attentive waitress. We had three courses and... More

Modern building with tasteful decor for comfortable dining. We were seated on-time for our reservations & service was good. Friday night music was great but a little too loud. I had bbq ribs with augratin potatoes. Ribs had lots of flavor & meat fell off bone. Would definitely go again.

First of all I must say that I have not been in this building to eat since it was Paradiso. That said, my wife and I were looking for something quick and not very heavy. They have an amazing happy hour of 1/2 priced apps from 4-6 each day. So much for not eating heavy! I had to try them... More

We had the fish fry and chips and the jerk chicken pasta. Kristen was our server, and was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The fish part of the fish and chips was very good, however, the French fries were very ordinary, for a fish and chips dinner. The jerk chicken was very bland, and not what we expected. We expected an... More

Tropical storm Bertha hit St. John when we were visiting the island. Instead of sitting in our hotel room, we decided to explore Cruz Bay. When it came time for lunch, we were hard pressed to find an open restaurant (a lot of restaurants and shops had shut down because of the storm). How happy were we when we came... More

Thanks for the positive review-- we really appreciate it. I wanted to note that was an crazy rainy day, and Virgin Fire is currently not open for lunch. The Sun Dog Cafe staff decided to use the tables at Virgin Fire, very cozy on a rainy day, and co-owned, but requiring the service staff to make a made dash with... More

We had the fish & chips and the special of the day (fish cakes). The fish cakes could also be ordered as an appetizer (1) or you got two for dinner. Ordered that as dinner and the server brought them out and also brought a side of rice since the cook thought we needed more (we didn't, but it was... More

As my wife and I were exploring/shopping, we ran across the Virgin Fire Bar & Grill. The atmosphere & menu were so inviting...just couldn't say no. We sat with Bartender and explored their amazing 1/2 price happy hour appetizers & deliciously chilled Pinot Grigio. It's so refreshing to have a Bartender who likes people! I'm so over the surly cool... More

I was on St. Johns USVI with three girlfriends for a two week vacation and our first outing was to the Virgin Fire Bar & Grill. They have a great half price appetizer and drink special from 4 to 6 every afternoon. The fish tacos with wasabi Aoli were out of this world and the bartender (Mike from Syracuse N.Y.)... More

The food was great and you got plenty of it. We had to take at least half of it back to our condo. There are not a lot of restaurants in St John, but this was definitely a great pick.
