We stumbled on this restaurant while shopping. We were impressed by the menu and made a reservation for that evening. Wonderful experience. Eclectic menu. I had the ribs (literally fall off the bone as advertised with great sauce and oversized serving of fire fries - pretty spicy). My wife had Eggplant Stack Very creative vegetarian dish. Pleasantly surprised by wine... More

Virgin Fire was the best dinner and dinning experience I had during my visit to St John in the USVI. My friends and I walked into Virgin Fire and were immediately impressed with the beautiful woodwork, open, spacious layout, and friendly yet professional, attentive manner of the staff. We were seated right away and then our fantastic culinary experience began!... More

The atmosphere was good. Our server was anxious to please but he, along with the staff helping serve our large party, seemed either inexperienced or incapable. Drinks came out fine and then things started to fall apart. Appetizers were a long time coming - and they forgot one of them. Servers started clearing plates before people were finished eating. The... More

Thanks, Maria, and really we are sincerely apologetic about your experience. I can only say two things in response: everything that went wrong during your... More

Went while on vaca in St. John's. Order the appetizer that is cooked by you on heated salt rock and comes with steak, shrimp and tuna. Sounds gimmicky by trut me worth the 12 bucks per person. Had the jambalaya which was good and filled with shrimp, chicken and 2 kinds of sausage. Others had tuna tartar which was great.... More

This is one of the newest dining establishments in Mongoose Junction, and is one you should not miss if visiting St. John. Open for dinner hours, the sunset timing adds to the mystique of the décor and location, which has balcony dining that provides views of Cruz Bay. Inside seating, with the great open arches, also allow you the outdoor... More

My husband and I dined at Virgin Fire while visiting St. John. We only ordered a few appetizers but they were delicious. The drinks were very tasty as well, and came from a friendly waitress. The music was relaxing to listen to as we overlooked the streets of St. John.

Great service, stellar food, unique and not quite like the other restaurants here. The Salt Block at 500 degrees is such a great way to enjoy shrimp, tuna, steak:-)!!! Will go back for sure...

Picture it: Friday afternoon, 4:00pm After a long week, we ended up at the bar at Virgin Fire. KC, our bar tender was quick with the wit, and the drinks. My husband and I love to cook. As a result, we order things we would not normally make at home. Also a result of cooking amazing food at home, we're... More

Now I understand that Virgin Fire had enormous shoes to fill by taking the space formerly occupied by the totally amazing La Plancha del Mar, but I did expect a lot more having visited their web site and read their menus. The staff is very welcoming and we had our favorite table outside overlooking the nightime scene downtown St. John,... More

Thanks, Davis Sorry you were disappointed and appreciate the sense of faith that we will overcome the growing pains. There are many things that La Plancha did well, but we are not La Plancha. I can relate to how good the Pork Belly Appetizer that they served-- that was something very unique, but our approach, or course, must differ. Glad... More
