Sun Dog gets lots of good press and deservedly so. The fact that all the dining is al fresco means that in the heat of the noon day you may have trouble finding a comfortable spot but the drinks are yummy, service is super and food is delicious.

I have no idea how the reviews are so good. We went to dinner, and the soup, the hummus was terrible. We decide to go with the pizza because how bad can apizza be. My god, it was so bad that we did not eat it at all.

So sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your meal with us, and not at all sure how the hummus, which we make daily from a very simple and popular recipe or the pizza, for which we bake our own and is very well received could have possibly displeased you. As to the soup, if it was the roasted... More

My husband and I recently dined here on our vacation to STJ. We shared the veggie lasagne and the burrito dinner. Shared a caesar salad as an appetizer. Portions were large and the salad was huge. Waitress was very good, but the salad came at the same time as our meals, which I didn't like. Also, the caesar dressing tasted... More

It was very quiet when we ate there but the two staff were really friendly and fun. The food was really delicious, the chicken roti was outstanding. The lovely staff also gave us a complimentary key lime pie which was absolutely perfect.

This was a nice surprise. Unassuming, casual place with fresh, tasty ingredients. Had dinner there in the off season. Prices were fair, and service was excellent.

I like this place as it was a hidden jewel. The restaurant is in an alley with a few tables. We had a great meal and the wait staff were friendly and the food was great.

Great food. Would definitely return. Server very friendly. Outside dining fits island style. Prices reasonable for area.

Ate here for several lunches both years we visited. Great service, love the drinks (bar shares the space), and a tasty, healthy, unassuming lunch spot in a great location (Mongoose Junction). Tacos, nachos, bean dip, that sort of thing. Would recommend for a nice lunch spot - hear they do a nice breakfast too but never made it there that... More

Thanks for the positive review--- we really do appreciate it and glad you enjoyed. Just wanted to note that Sun Dog Cafe serves Lunch and Dinner daily, plus a Sunday Brunch, which is what I think you were told about. We don't currently serve breakfast, and given the size of the kitchen--- I'm not sure we can! Thanks for visiting,... More

Consistently great service and good food. Only drawback is the outdoor seating with mosquitoes, so cover up with deet or mosquito spray. Drinks are decent, food is great. First night we dined here we had a shrimp pasta which was amazing, huge portion and even came with too much pasta if you ask me. We also tried the jerk chicken... More

Thanks for the positive review.... we really do appreciate it and glad you enjoyed. Mosquitos and "no see ums" can be a nuisance all over the islands. Best ways to avoid them: don't wear colognes, body sprays. Do cover up, especially before 9 am and what we call "bug thirty", around 4-5 pm, when they are most active. Some good... More

Shrimp taco special of day was delicious, and the bottled root beer was a hit. Waitress was friendly and attentive, and the view was great!
