Sun Dog Cafe is a great casual dining option, and home to the Gecko Gazebo, our open air bar overlooking the gracious center courtyard of Mongoose Junction. A New York Times Travel and Leisure Pick for St. John, we serve lunch daily, dinner on weekdays, and brunch on Sunday in season. Don't Miss the Sunday Night Jam, from 7-10 pm weekly, a great musical event with local and visiting talent. Welcome!

In the heart of Mongoose Junction is this outdoor seating cafe. Great meals and very reasonably priced. It's in the middle of a very unique shopping center. Would definitely return.

This place is an odd little configuration of tables in the middle of a mall. Almost like a food court with waitstaff. Except, they are under wait staffed and the wait for service and food is ridiculous. Then, once it comes, the food is so-so at best.

Thanks for the visit and sorry you didn't enjoy as much as we would both would have hoped. We have been very fortunate over the years and very busy. The New York Times made us a Travel and Leisure Pick for St John, saying that we had a "remarkable menu for a kitchen the size of a volkswagon beetle". Given... More

Located in mongoose junction. Stopped here for a bite on the way to the beaches. I got the veggie burger, my husband got the shrimp Veracruz and our nanny got the peel and eat shrimp. Everything wash fantastic and the servers were super friendly. Highly recommend this stop.

Just finished a yummy dinner with the family. It's a relaxed casual setting in the Mongoose Junction shops. I ordered the white pizza salad with chicken. It was very good. My husband ordered the Veggie Burger which was touted on the menu as "best ever". Although it didn't look like anything special when it arrived, we both agreed it was... More

My friends and I stopped in for a little bite to eat before shopping. We shared a plate of fish tacos (came with 3). The fish was cooked just right and all the sides, guacamole, sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce were very fresh. Will definitely go back to try other things. Service was quick and friendly.

My husband and I loved this place. The waitress was very friendly and our food was delicious. We had a garlic bread app, and the quesadillas & burrito entrees. We loved everything!

We stopped here for lunch while on a tour of the island. The food was great quality and the service was excellent. Mongoose Junction is a quaint little shopping area. It's all open air dining which was perfect for us.

We visited the Sun Dog Café for lunch after a tour of the National Park. There are several other restaurants in the vicinity but the Sun Dog looked like the one with the most life. The tables are scattered around the plaza and some are at the periphery, but if you find a waitress she will quickly come to your... More

Sun Dog is a great lunch stop when in Mongoose Junction! The fresh food is great and the service always solid. And the beer I ice cold. Good dinner food and ultra casual.
