I ate here every morning for breakfast while staying at the Inn. The fruit and biscuit plate is included with the room costs. It is a decent breakfast, nothing spectacular, but nothing bad. It is a basic continental breakfast. Service was as friendly as you were to them. Getting food was slower than other places as there was one cook,... More

We moved to St. John months ago but had not tried the Inn at Tamarind Court for dinner until tonight. Bowman cooked a perfect Prime rib and Thanksgiving turkey dinner. It was exactly what we were looking for. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Just delicious. Dinners at the Tamarind are one of the best values on the island. We'll... More

The whole red snapper was 5 star quality! This place is not in the heart of tourist area but just a short walk. Don't be turned off by low lighting and lack of crowds - just means local! A sister combo did the cooking and waitress service both a delight, engaging and talked through the menus and preparation. Flavorful salt... More

Ate at the Tamarind two nights in a row, the first because they were serving Greek food and the following night southeast Asian. The cook and waitresses for the Greek night hold steady jobs at a local private school and were very friendly, the busboy an eighth grader who was very polite and well spoken. The food was good as... Loved the rotating chef each night so much we ate here three times in one week. Greek, Vietnamese and Bowman. All were delicous and fairly priced. The atmosphere is a softly lit simple garden with plastic tables and chairs with extremely helpful and friendly staff.

An average spot without a view is just average. The breakfast menu is standard fare and service is fine. Without much to recommend it, you can easily pass on this. I did read the dinner menus which seemed more inspired but again -- no view

Warren waited on us at Cruz Bay Prime and told us that he is a guest chef at the Inn at Tamarind Court on Tuesdays, so we decided to check it out. The setting is laid-back in a courtyard with simple plastic tables and chairs. Jesse waited on us and walked us through the menu, making suggestions of items best... More

We went to the Inn at Tamarind Court on Friday night for Prime Rib with Bowman. It was amazing. Bowman and his staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend Bowman Night on Wednesday and Friday night from 5 till 9. Great food and good times.

Based on several recommendations, we went to the Tamarind restaurant on Wednesday, "Bowman Prime Rib" night. It was awesome! Probably the most tender and flavorful prime rib we've had. The price was very reasonable, and everything was just delicious! We had great service and talked to Bowman on the way out, thanking him for our excellent meals. We're looking forward... More

If you are looking for nonexistent service where you will be told by the waitstaff to "seat yourself" with the only 10 tables in the restaurant and wait for service to never appear well this is the place for you! I went with friends and waited over 20 minutes for service of ANY KIND to approach us but low and... More
