Not as great as it used to be...

We used to love going to Fish Trap when we visited St. John. The menu, the food and the restaurant itself seem a bit tired and "just average".

This is a short walk to the ferry, which is great if you come in late and/or hungry. The waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and responsive. The fried mahi mahi was excellent, as were the fish tacos. It was not gourmet, but very well prepared.

The service was so, so and the seafood okay. There are quite a few better places to eat at. The wahoo was over cooked. The mussels were good but not great. The prices are too high for the quality of the food. Skip it, not that great.

Friendly Staff, food was just average, nothing special. Nothing stood out as being special just ordinary.

My favorite restaurant in cruz bay. Every meal I have had here had been delicious. It doesn't look like much from the outside and gives the appearance of a less sophisticated dining experience. Don't let that fool you. The food is very inventive.

Great service, wonderful food, attentive staff. This place has dishes that aren't outrageously priced and food that is presented in a very unique way on every plate! I had the swordfish and my husband had the alfredo....there was so much shrimp in his alfredo that it put chain Italian restaurants to shame! My swordfish was simply wonderful! The location isn't... We had a wonderful meal last nite. The owner/chef Aaron is a culinary Institute Of America grad and it shows even down to his homemade cocktail Sauce. Wonderfully seasoned fresh crab cake, fresh snapper n a great Light sauce. This place rocks.

Stop in for a no frills dining experience. The food speaks for itself at the fish trap. Be sure to check their schedule as the are closed one weekday.

We would highly recommend this restaurant. I believe during the day you can buy local fish here and then at night it turns into a restaurant. We got there pretty late with a packed house. The staff was great and incredibly friendly. The food was really good. We had the clay pot which was amazing as well as the tuna... More

Rented a house on St John and the real estate person recommended the Fish Trap saying that the owner got the first pick of local fish that was caught. Service was great. Food was great. If you want a view of the Caribbean go somewhere else. If you want great food and drinks at a fair price, this is the... More
