Go here for breakfast - amazing!

We got omelettes and 2 of us got the fried potatoes and one the toast with homemade jelly. The potatoes were the best I've ever had - skillet fried potatoes. We went as a group for breakfast one morning and we were all happy with our food. A few of us got the breakfast burrito which was good, with homemade salsa. A few others got the French toast which didn't look to be anything special. The youngest of the group got the pancakes which looked and smelled amazing. You'll wait... More

Talked about going here for breakfast one morning while we were here. We finally got here after many drive bys and the kids saying when are we going for breakfast? They are known for there pancakes. We all ordered chocolate chip cake (as they call them.). They were very good. You get 3 plate size cakes for your plate. my... More

If you are looking for a Starbucks, you're at the wrong place. I think that's a good thing. Jakes is a friendly island eatery with good food, decent portions and good prices (for St. John) of course. Nothing fancy, just right on.

If you're a morning/lunch person and on the island, you have to visit Jakes for some good food. Great omelets, homefries, and frenchtoast, to name a few. Service great and atmosphere light

We liked the view of Cruz Bay , the family feeling of the restaurant and the food. They have home made mango jelly, great bacon and the traditional southern food. the coffee was excellent.

Went here based on tripadvisor reviews and it was a good, but streamlined breakfast menu. They are definitely on island time, but from our experiences this is the norm many places on St. John. My son had the strawberry pancakes and they were a delicious buttermilk batter w strawberries baked into them instead of the overly sweet strawberry sauce w... More

The only place we went to twice, during our 7 days on the island! Fantastic location, great home like feel and the meal was awesome! Even met the namesake for the restaurant, the son of the owner, who promptly thanked us for coming and asked what I had to eat! Local experience and felt like we were being served at... More

Sure, it's not haute cuisine, but it's the perfect place to start your day on STJ. Omelettes, American style breakfasts, and great pancakes. They are open 7:30 to 2pm serving breakfast the entire time, so if you get up late, no worries. We've hit them a up a few times on this last visit before a morning of snorkeling. My... More

We love this spot for breakfast. It is delicious! Jake's is an open air grill on the second floor of a building in Cruz Bay. There is a great view from the balcony. We always order the regular--eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. The potatoes are exceptionally good. We've had lunch as well occasionally, but a late breakfast at Jake's is... More
