We drove out to Miss Lucy's on our second day. Oh gosh, It was wonderful! I can not say enough good things about this. There isn't much of a menu to choose from, only 3 or 4 items. But everything we got was delicious. You must get the Johnny Cakes! And we didn't get any, but I later heard the... More

We love to stop at Vie's when we are on the East End of St. John, to enjoy a lovely location and some fantastic freshly prepared food. The menu is very limited, but that doesn't bother us at all. We come back for the garlic chicken every time and have never left disappointed!

A St. John landmark, Vie's is the real deal. An extremely limited menu, everything is made fresh as you order it. We loved our meal of garlic fried chicken, johnny cakes with honey, dirty rice, and conch fritters, and in combination with the drive out along East End, the entire experience made for a truly memorable day. Definitely recommended!

A shack it is but, a fun spot to take in the island spirit. Be prepared to have a wait for your meal (definitely island pace), with an outdoor picnic table dining experience. Very limited menu. Then why 4 stars you wonder. It just a fun little place with real island food and spirit. We tried the fried chicken dinner... More

Hansen Bay is a very beautiful spot to snorkel and to just lay on the beach. We saw four squids, some fish and a shark! Entrance has a $2,50 fee and you can stay as much as you want (from 10am to 5pm from tues. to sat.). We also rented two kayak ($18 for one and $30 for two). We... More

Great place - I believe it is the MOST EASTERN snack bar in the US! Great chicken and conch and dirty rice. Nice place to hang an just take it all in.

We stayed just around the corner from this little gem. we visited it daily. One time our car battery died and vie let us hang out on her beach after hours until repairman came. This is a must do on St Johns.

This was my fifth trip to STJ and I made it a priority to make it to Vie's this trip. We got lucky and got there in just enough time to get the LAST piece of pie. We had the special (conch, rice w red beans, fried plantains and veggies) and it was amazing! I never knew conch could be... More

Miss Violet Sewer Mahabir (I believe her family roots date back to the late 1700's) began her business in the late 1970's by simply selling cold drinks to folks driving by. After saving enough money from her venture, she was able to build Vie's Snack Shack. Of course you can just stop for lunch but why end there? We pulled... More
