Want to go to the place the locals go to eat? Try Lime Inn. The food is wonderful, the owners care about your experience. If the staff recommends it, try it! Do not leave without a piece of Key Lime Pie. The Best Ever. more

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Lime Inn on a recent trip to St. John. I was really impressed by the fresh, local food, gracious host Rich and friendly service. To start, we had a spinach/arugula salad with walnuts, goat cheese and a cranberry orange vinaigrette. It was very tasty, with just the right blend of flavors. As an entrée, I... more

My husband and I were honeymooning in St. Thomas this July and became increasingly annoyed by the bad food and HORRIBLE service on that island. So, one night we decided to hop on the ferry and try this place. We absolutely LOVED it! (So much in fact that we came back another night.) The owner and staff are friendly, the... more

This was our second expensive meal on St. John. I had the grilled grouper with pasta. It came with a sweet and sour sauce. I thought it was good, but not the best fish I've ever had. My friend had steak and it was too dry. It was very disappointing since it cost so much. I wouldn't try the Lime... more

We went on Wednesday night, their famous all you can eat shrimp night, and were not disappointed. Service was very friendly and attentive and the shrimp had the perfect combination of spice and flavor, even if they were a little soft and hard to peel. I know where I'll be on Wednesday night next time were on the island! more

The caretaker of our villa recommended this spot and we were not disappointed. My husband had the seafood pasta which was loaded with seafood (a rarity at most restaurants. I had the tuna and had the gazpacho as well. Tuna was really good, gazpacho was average. Service was very good - staff was friendly. We would return. Thought the value... more

Went to The Lime Inn for dinner last week (4/21/09) and it was a little disappointing based on the reviews I read on TI. Supposedly the #2 dining experience in St. John, and we (4 of us) were all underwhelmed. It was pretty good, but not at all "top notch". more

I was in a party of 13 that dropped in for dinner. We were seated only after a short wait which was no problem because of the awesome drinks at the tiki bar. Although the restaurant was packed, we were treated like we were the only guests. Owner was unbelieveably friendly as well as the hostess and waitresses. Food was... more

We enjoyed dinner at the Lime Inn on 2/24, very much. The place was packed and with a reservation we waited maybe ten minutes. Three years ago we were walking past this place and popped in to look. A nice young guy at the bar started talking to us and bought us a round of drinks, my first Pain Killer... more
