Excellent food and service here...loved siting street side to people watch as well. The flavors were very good and the place has a nice menu as well. Would definitely go back.

We went here for my birthday, and we're definitely expecting something a bit more special given the reviews. But this is St John so it's very casual - on the main road to the beach, with plenty of traffic. Despite that, the food was excellent, with fresh locally sourced produce in many cases. We shared some tapas and then had... More

So many people seem to like this place, bit I just don't see it. Crowded tables on a busy street with honking horns and homeless and drunk people from Woody's wandering around. Prices are crazy high for small amounts of food. My friend and I dropped over $200 for 2 apps, a shared entree and shared dessert plus 2 glasses... More

Really the best restaurant on island in my opinion. Tuesday night jazz is great. Awesome wine menu. And superior fresh food makes La Tapa an awesome St John dinning experience.

We vacation on St. John 2 weeks every year, one of the places we make sure to dine at, is La Tapa. We usually get the olives/bread, salad, steak entree/special and desert and coffee. We have eaten at a number of places on St. John and this is one of those go back to places. We enjoy the island chatter... More

I love artichokes, an in all my years have never seen a steamed one on the menu. So I snapped this up at the tapas restaurant in Cruz Bay. Our son stayed back at the hotel while my husband and I had a night out for the first time since we started vacationing on St. John a few years ago.... More

Delicious food at this restaurant! We loved the bread and different dips. The entrees were amazing. Especially the paella! There is a large wine list to choose from. The staff is very accommodating at this special St. John restaurant .

Outstanding dining experience at La Tapa to wrap up our day in St John. This a great spot that feels very quaint and like something you'd find in Spain. The staff were very accommodating and didn't blink an eye when we asked if we were under dressed having come straight from a day at the beach. My wife, 16 mo... More

We had a very nice dinner here during our stay. Great hot and cold tapa selection and very good paella. Wine list was varied and well priced.

Chef Sells is cooking up serious cuisine here. We were fortunate to dine at La Tapa on our anniversary after it being closed the first time we visited St. John on our honeymoon (in the off season). Everything was delicious, the mussels, the duck, the pork belly... all superb. Honestly the hardest part was deciding what to get. The group... More
