We returned yesterday and had 2 great meals at Island Blues. The menu is basic bar food with a few entrees thrown in. grilled chicken nachos were really great. I loved the fresh chopped pico de gallo- yellow red and green peppers, onions, tomatoes and jalapenos. The Painkillers were great too. We visited during the day when the resturant looked barely open so I cannot comment on the night scene. Nice setting for lunch if you are visiting the East end area.

We stayed in Coral Bay and went to Island Blues a couple of times for dinner. Extremely laid back atmosphere and very friendly waitresses. The food was good enough--pretty standard bar fare. They have live music most nights. It is kind of smoky in the main section, but you can sit at an open air table overlooking the bay.

Very disappointed by new ownership. My 5th trip to St John-- new owners were working the bar and had to look up the drinks. Pina colada used to be best on the island-- this bartender, who also introduced herself as part owner, didn't know how to makeone. Music was ok but atmosphere not the same.
