Awesome restaurant if you like Italian food. We had mussels, ravioli, lazagna and pizza~all were excellent! The dining room is tastefully decorated and the service was impeccable.

The last time we visited St John we were unable to visit Cafe Roma after 4 times before (see previous review) because they had had a fire. Fortunately, the owner decided to keep it going and is actively raising money to pay off the loan taken out to rebuild the restaurant. The staff here is very friendly remembering us between... More

My wife and I have been to Cafe Roma numerous times over the years, but not since the fire damage and temporary closure. We expect the service to be slow and the dining room to be hot and humid, but that's always been part of the island charm. What we didn't expect was the bland, salty sauces and lackluster cuisine.... I don't like writing negative reviews but the food at this place was not good. I think it is Italian modified for a tourist palate - very sweet and somewhat outdated dishes. If you are a foodie used to good restaurants I don't think this is for you. For example, I got the salad special: local greens with gorgonzola, cranberries... More

Didn't have a chance to go here last year with the fire damage, but we enjoyed our dinner last week! Service was a little slow, but food was excellent. We didn't have to wait to be seated as we got there just after 6. I had the eggplant parm and it was awesome, you'll definitely have leftovers! I have heard... More

We used to eat here all the time, but it has changed hands and the place was half empty on a Saturday evening which says it all. The wilted spinach salad was totally cooked like Popeye would eat out of a can. The Fettucini sauce was soupy and the pizza was grocery store frozen quality. They say the crust is... More

After a disappointing experience at a competitors pizza joint we decided to try again at Cafe Roma. We weren't disappointed! We LOVED the pizza here! The ingredients were fresh and the crust was perfect! Highly recommend!

Pizzas, salads are decent. Antipasta plate is huge and good! Staff was very friendly. Always a consistent spot on a trip.

There aren't a lot of choices for a real Italian meal on St. John and being there for an extended time, I needed some and chose Café Roma. We shared a nice Caesar Salad which was good and we had ravioli and spaghetti Bolognese with shrimp added. The sauce is a very meaty and very dark sauce, more meaty than... More
