Visited here whilst staying locally for the Jazz Festival in Brecon. It was very busy but managed to get a table straight away. There was a good choice on the menu but main courses were rather pricey for what you got. The slow roasted lamb was delicious but it only came on a bed of sweet potato (the menu stated... More

Nice meal but rather pricey £13.50 , small dish. Of veg between two if. You have a big appetite you will be disappointed . We were given a table I the small bar which was full so you are in very close proximity to other people which wasn't very comfortable. I believe the bistro was quite empty it would have... More

I've been to the Nant Ddu a number of times now, for bars meals and for group celebrations in the restaurant. The food is always good with large portions and reasonably priced for a good meal. Normally the wait for food isn't long (unlike some places where you may wait 45/1 hr). The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Lovely surroundings and pleasant staff, food extremely tasty and good selection of wines. The service was excellent and friendly and the menu choices extensive.

Have called here on a couple occassions, weekdays, for lunch, last visit 1st April. Have had some lovely meals sat in the garden when its been a sunny day, food has always been good and varied choice. What annoys me is that they say the restaurant is closed for lunch if they have a couple of people dining in there... More

I have eaten here on a number of occasions and prefer the atmosphere in the bar. Food is the same as the restaurant so relatively expensive and not typical bar food but is more good pub rather than good restaurant standard.

Decided to have afternoon tea with some girlfriends as a change from lunch or dinner. However it's scones with a pot of tea/coffee not afternoon tea that was available. What we got was nice enough - scones were warm and just out of the oven, drinks were hot but I think it's a shame they don't go for the full... More

First time i've eaten at the restaurant having had the excellent bar meals in the past. What a fantastic meal it was too! I had the confit duck leg starter and the monkfish coins for a main and both were wonderfully cooked and so packed with flavour. My wife had the pork belly to start and beef medallions for main... We popped into Nant Ddu looking for a pub dinner after an epic 8 hour walk in the Brecon Beacons and were delighted to have stumbled across a real gem. Cosy, friendly, great service (the manager had the door open for us after seeing us pull into the car park and showed real attention to detail looking after everyone) and... More
