I took 30 W.I. members here for a cream tea on the last day before the winter closure - everyone of these very discerning ladies were absolutely delighted with the excellent cream tea - huge home-made scones with jam and delicious clotted cream and 'real' tea from a china teapot. Few of us could manage the second scone but those... More

Driving towards brecon was surprised to find this lovely place. Had cream tea with lovely honemade scones, I run my own tea rooms so am very fussy when I visit other places but these were great, even nicer, were the staff, they made us feel most welcome and even found a scone for our dog! We sat outside even though... More

We have visited the Old Barn Tea Room only last Sunday after a long walk in the hills. The place seemed like haven for hungry and tired walkers. Only ordered coffee and a bacon sandwich - very tasty and presented well. The restaurant is surrounded by woodland in a very peaceful and tranquil area of the Beacons, the... More

Halfway through a very wet hike this was a welcome break, we were made very welcome by the staff and owner, tea served in a proper china tea cup and tea pot (managed to get three cups of tea from a pot for one person) Warm and welcoming with a great selection of food, scones were excellent. Prices were very... More

Arrived just about lunch time. Six middle aged bikers out for a days ride enjoying the Welsh roads and countryside stopped for a break. No problem with bike gear in restaurant. Sunday lunch and tea all round. Good value. Will find it again on another ride out to the Brecons.
