While photographing in the Brecon Beacons, I stopped off at the Old Barn Tea Room. Great welcome from the two ladies running the restaurant. They made me feel very comfortable. Only ordered coffee and a bacon sandwich - very tasty and presented well. The restaurant is surrounded by woodland in a very peaceful and tranquil area of the Beacons, the... More

Halfway through a very wet hike this was a welcome break, we were made very welcome by the staff and owner, tea served in a proper china tea cup and tea pot (managed to get three cups of tea from a pot for one person) Warm and welcoming with a great selection of food, scones were excellent. Prices were very... More

Arrived just about lunch time. Six middle aged bikers out for a days ride enjoying the Welsh roads and countryside stopped for a break. No problem with bike gear in restaurant. Sunday lunch and tea all round. Good value. Will find it again on another ride out to the Brecons.

After a distinctly wet walk in the Brecon Beacons morale was low when we got back to the car and emptied the water out of our boots before heading back to the camp site. But what a turn round in fortune when we followed the signs to this tea room and stopped for a cup of tea. It was nicely... More

Happened to drive past this adorable tea room whilst travelling through the countryside. As we walk in, we ask if they accepted card to which the owner replied that they didn't but added 'but don't worry, we'll sort something out.' Thinking we would have to be washing up for a couple of hours in return for our scones and tea,... More
