Lovely place

We spotted the signs for the tea room from about two miles away, so glad we followed them. Plenty of parking and a lovely old barn converted into a tea room. Plenty of choice for cakes and snacks and I believe they cook Sunday lunch as well. What a shame we are not still there, because we would... read more

Visited today for the first time and will definitely be back. On a frosty afternoon we received the warmest of welcomes (they ensured we sat by the heaters), lovely service, home made soup and the freshest of bread to accompany. Lovely China crockery laid out beautifully. Can't wait to go back to try more.

Me and my friend were in the car passing so we decided to pop in and have a quick drink, turns out by the time we sat down we realised we had no cash on us.. We were really worried but the staff there were absolutely lovely and were totally understanding - very kind! They said we could bring the... More

I am a huge fan of a good tea shop and this place meets all expectations. Tucked away next to the reservoir, I was glad for the extra signposts. It was a particularly miserable day when we decided to visit but our arrival definitely perked us up. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The tea room is very quaint... More

We have been visiting Old Barn Tea Rooms since Linda and Julie opened. The home cooked soup, sandwiches, omelet and wonderful coffee sponge cakes just insure that we return once or twice weekly throughout the open season of February to November. That brings me to request, indeed plead, that they stay open during the Winter,or at least Thursday to Sunday! Will anyone join me in an... More

We have passed this place many times and promised ourselves we would call in. Wish I hadn't bothered now. The barn itself is quite nice with plenty of parking. Jumble of tables and chairs which adds to its charm along with China plates and cups and saucers. Service was so slow. We ordered soup and a roll, the soup was... More

I have visited this Tea Room for many years and must say I just keep on going back. Everything from the food to the service is fantastic. Its just so relaxing after a trek around the hills to come here and enjoy a good old fashioned cup of tea, you'll get no supermarket teabags here, just fresh loose tea served... More
