Visit at 12.30 pm, most tables were reserved awaiting guests , but we were accommodated inside the barn a cosy stone built room. We opted for the old barn special, 1/2 sandwich, scone and Welsh cake and of of tea £5.90 what a deal On settling my bill I couldn't resist the home made cake and brought some to go... More

I love The Old Barn Tea Rooms, I grew up near Brecon Becons and would always stop the the old barn tea rooms when in the area. But I now live in Los Angeles and EVERYTIME I come home to visit family I insist that we visit for lunch! The sandwiches and soups are always perfect, but my absolute favorite... More

Decided on our return trip with afriend for tea refreshments. Headed for the old barn to find it open. Fantastic welcome, lovely surroundings with enthusiastic Staff. Now I have had many cream teas over the years and this topped the lot. Two huge freshly cooked scones with large pots of cream and jam. The teapot for three of us was... More

A bit tongue in cheek because as far as I know it is the only tea shop for miles. But I would highly recommend it even if that wasn't the case. Bone china tea cups, quite classical background music, gorgeous cakes, delicious ice cream, friendly staff... Worth making a diversion for!

Whilst staying in the area we called twice and the welcome was fantastic. We had the dog and they made a fuss of him that was before we tasted the tea which is proper tea and wonderful. The scones were fresh and taste with plenty of cream and jam. Julie even gave us some welsh tea cakes to take away,... More

The Old Barn is situated in a lovely, scenic and quiet part of the Brecon Beacons near Pentwyn Reservoir. We had an afternoon tea consisting of sandwiches, Welsh cakes, scones with jam & cream and a pot of tea. Everything was homemade, tasted delicious and was served on bone china crockery by the very pleasant and friendly staff. Definitely somewhere... More

A delightful tea rooms in a surprising location well off the beaten track, was a welcome find after walking round the hills.Cooked meals and afternoon tea with plenty of seating inside and outside to enjoy the sunshine, birds in the garden and the views, with the distant sounds of the steam railway in the background. Good food and prices with... More

Called in here late in the afternoon for a well-deserved ice cream after a long walk in the hills. Others seemed to be enjoying cream teas. We watched the birds and ate our ice creams. The 2 ladies on duty were very friendly.
