All the locals told me that this place had the best rib eye steaks on the island. They were right. The steak was excellent, perfectly seasoned and grilled, and such a fantastic value at $28 with excellent sides like double-baked potatoes and asparagus. Desert was equally good. The restaurant itself is tiny, perched off of a scary road high above... More

our cab driver questioned us if we had been to this place, she made us nervous, up a scary hill. First the view amazing helped ourselves to a bottle of wine. Bar is honor system write down what you took. Salad bar help yourself. I had citrus mahi and my husband the ribeye. This has to be hands down the... More

This place is totally off the beaten path, but it is charming and delightful. It is laid back, and the view is beautiful. You make your own drinks and are charged based on the honor system. Steaks were delicious. Salad bar is perfectly acceptable, though nothing that special. Overall great island experience.

Make sure you do a dry run to the place first so you know where you're going for dinner… The drive is a bit crazy with the roads twisting and turning. A small place, ready to accommodate when you walk in. Tables for only so many makes the experience worth the trip. Theres never too many ppl there at one... More

The restaurant offers very good value for money. A buffet salad to start at $7, a 16-18oz rib eye with baked potato and asparagus or broccoli at $28, one of four home-made desserts at $7. You can split an entree and pay an extra $5. There is a $5 corkage fee per bottle if you bring your own wine and... More

At the risk of exposing our own secret little dining gem to the world, we must give our friends at Island View, as we locals call it, two thumbs up for the best steaks on St. Thomas. Proprietors and hosts Beth and Ron know how to roll out the red hospitality carpet in this cozy little hotel/restaurant. The restaurant is... More

Island View is not easy to get to, but it is well worth the effort! This guest house restaurant requires reservations and is nestled up in the hills overlooking the south coast of St. Thomas. The view night or day is breathtaking, but it is onlynopen to the public for steak and seafood BBQs on Friday and Saturday night. The... More

On our last day on St. Thomas I searched for the best steakhouse. Island View Guest house came up first. I called to get a reservation, but sadly both dinner times were booked. But they offered to take my name and number and call me if some one backed out. Sure enough. There was a cancellation and we were able... More
