One of the coolest bars around. They've recently enlarged it and made various other improvements, pretty impressive. Great place to get a good Mahi sandwich and a cold Pres or two - with excellent service. Very good live music, which is usually done by 10 or 11, and a lot of nights a surprise guest or two who might sit... More

Great place to go and listen to live music. We were staying at the ritz and were looking for a local place to go. Had a great live band and great music. Only thing is it closed at 10pm on a Saturday night.

This place is really off the beaten path, so when you get to the entrance and say, this can't be the right road, afraid it is. Once you get there, it is a really cool place, it is really really casual, so don't expect too much, but does have a nice view. Beware of mosquitoes though. My wife had the... More

Latitude 18, just as the song feels like an Old Friend, Relaxed, Comfortable and without facade. It is what it is and rapidly became one of my favorite spots on Island! They have Good Bar style eats and are popular. The staff busts it out and makes everyone feel welcome. If you want an, "On Island experience", you'll love it... More

This place really has that local feel. On the water, open air. Service can be slow and food is marginal. Live entertainment most nites. Not a place I'd go for lunch.

We got the daily special, which was BBQ ribs. They were the best ribs we've had in a while and the place has a really fun, laid back atmosphere. Definitely going back there next time. Bring bug spray...

I would like to thank Rick the owner for helping me throw a fantastic party at his establishment. It was a pre wedding party for my new wife and myself. There were about 35 of us and he and his staff killed it! He even got us a band. The rates were VERY fair and every single person that attended... More

Though it is hard to find (at night...) it has a great atmosphere and great food, no matter what you're in the mood for. It is on the water in Red Hook and is just about exactly what you'd imagine when you think of a Caribbean bar. My wife and I visited twice in the two weeks we visited The... More

From the half opened, half unhinged gate down the very bumpy dirt road to a spit of land, and the latitude 18 bar and grill, you know you have entered true island funkification. Do not expect anything more or less. However, the true carribean fare is really pretty good. I had the curried shrimp w plantains and chutney,...delicious. It's not... More
