The curb appeal and view from this restaurant is incredible, but the food did not match the view or service. The mussels were very bland and the conch fritters tasted like hushpuppies. Too much dough. The drinks sere good and the homemade pepper sauce was out of this world, the best ever. It was so good I had it poured... More

I had the real privilege of living on St. Thomas from FEB 2011 - MARCH 2014. Hook, Line & Sinker was the location of my first dinner on-island when I moved to STT. Immediately, the staff made me feel right at home and I became introduced to Chef Sam and his team who prepare the freshest seafood I have ever... More

Recommended by several locals, and they were spot on. Excellent food (we both had snapper dishes), plentiful portions, efficient service, and warm, inviting staff. Highly recommended when you want a five star meal, but don't feel like getting all dressed up.

I love HLS and have for over 20 years. Good food (NY dinner style with killer views). However they take at least 45 minutes to get your food out. Doesn't matter if it's busy or slow. Have a snack before arriving and all is good.

Ended up here by recommendation from the hotel. Restaurant was pretty empty the night we were there. Food was fine but nothing amazing. Very friendly staff. Escargot were tasty. We each had a fish dish but nothing remarkable about either one. Don't feel the need to return.

This place is very charming with a New England feel. We loved the open windows and spot on the water. The grilled shrimp was delicious and the spaghetti was too, The prices aren't outrageous and the servers were great. We would eat there again.

Good service and decent prices. Close to the marina which is nice and pleasant. The restaurant is not too big and not too small either. Watch for the scallops, they are not fresh. Frozen and fried.

Went there with work colleagues for lunch. Frenchtown is lovely and full of great places to eat, so definitely visit. The views here are wonderful and the food was very good. The staff is super-friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely a great alternative to some of the downtown eateries!

The food here was good and the drinks were refreshing. The prices were a little higher than they should have been for the portion and quality, but it did taste good. The service was SLOW! Very show. Slow to get drink refills, slow to order, slow for our food to arrive and slow to pay our bill and leave. I... More

Hook Line and Stinker.......Only ever been for breakfast on Sunday and that was always excellent albeit sometimes the service is lacking. Thought we would finally try Dinner. Arrived around 6.30 pm and sat overlooking the water which is lovely. And we sat and sat and sat.....Looked around the restaurant and there were only 4 other people there. Got up and... More
