A Local Place with great hot sauce!

We were told about this place our first day in St. Thomas, we tried to go that evening but it was closed. They serve breakfast and lunch only. We went for breakfast the next morning. The food was good, but their hot sauces made it exceptional! Another exceptional item was the Bloody Mary, it's a... read more

My wife and I (Lesbian Couple) really enjoyed the food at Gladys'! It was a short walk from our hotel which was very convenient. I noticed the older black lady ( Gladys) was very nice to a large group of caucasian couples and even a black couple and their child. She explained the menu in depth and really catered to... More

This alleyway restaurant does not look like much from the outside, but do not hesitate to go in and be greeted and seated by some of the best servers in town. Plan on getting there early, no later than 4:45 in the evening as she closes at five. Ask for the specials. But don't be afraid to order oxtail, braised... More

The restaurant was well air conditioned, clean, service was excellent and the food was fantastic. The owner was very friendly. The waitresses were knowledgable about the menu and explained the dishes thoroughly. The bathroom facilities were in a different location than the restaurant, but it wasn't too far and it was also clean and air conditioned and had an attendant.

First day in Charlotte Amalie; our hotel recommended this spot. Near the main shopping area and cruise ship terminal- so the area can be crowded on cruise ship days. Nice local menu and drinks; Gladys makes her own Caribbean style hot sauce, and stocks other sauces from around the area. Loads of atmosphere and pleasant staff. We'll be back on... More

Very, very tasty food, good service, reasonable prices, cafe hidden in an alley at Charlotte Amalie/St Thomas. Find it. It's worth the search.

While vacationing last summer, locals recommended this spot for an authentic dining experience..... The food did not disappoint, but my favorite discovery was the Soursop (fruit) Coladas ~ with or without dark rum... The fruit has a beautiful, light clean flavor so refreshing it tastes like a cloud!!!!! Miss Pauline's recipe, a local treat... And a MUST when you visit... More

Tried Gladys' for lunch one day! It is in a quaint location in Drakes Passage. My husband ordered stewed chicken. He said it was very good. I had a special...avocado stuffed with chicken salad! Avocado was very fresh and tasty. The chicken salad was good. Good location if you are downtown! Extensive menu!
