Very ordinary food! Crowded with no bathrooms or place to wash hands!

Galdys' was highly recommended by a couple taxi drivers for good Carribean food! The food and drink were ordinary to bad. I had the much touted 'homeade' ginger beer and it tasted like medicine. I have had ginger beer many places and this was not good. The chips that came with the quacamole... read more

Glady's has always impressed. She did this time as well. Great local fares with great taste and texture. The atmosphere is one of a kind. Just don't be short on time, they like you to relax and enjoy.

We heard about Gladys cafe and stopped for Lunch, What a pleasant Surprise! A sign on the door advertised avocado lunch specials. Since we had been shopping for Avocados to no avail, we were ready. Excellent lobster salad. We got the last 4 plates. My wife asked if we coul buy some Avocao for our own use and SGladys sold... More

Pauline was our waitress, she was great! We made it to the restaurant at almost 11 am and wanted breakfast. They start serving lunch at 11, but Pauline made sure we got our wish and had the chef made the breakfast we requested. The coffee there GREAT!!!! We needed good coffee. Highly recommended!!!!

My friend and I ate at Glady's today. We went in during the breakfast hours but they still allowed me to order lunch. My friend had and omelette and I had the chicken roti. Both dishes were delish and the service was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The $3 bloody Mary's don't hurt either. I'm West Indian... More

Seems to be the current place to go but not a lot of other choices. Food was good but nothing special. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. $3 bloody mary was good!

No trip to St. Thomas is complete without a visit to Gladys' Cafe. Gladys commands the bar and entertains guests with her repertoire of oldies but goodies. Service is attentive, the menu has a few interesting twists and there's lots of homemade hot sauce available.

This was a wonderful place for an afternoon lunch. It has a great reputation for local cooking but it is also a very nicely furnished air conditioned restaurant. I was NOT disappointed. The special of the day was a complete local grown avocado and tuna salad which was wonderful. The standard margarita was a superb and they played great music... More

Food was terrific. I highly recommend getting a local dish to experience the unique flavors offered. The day I was there they had a fish special with a cream sauce that was outstanding. Service was great too!
