Good, but a bit slow & pricey

We ate here our first day & it definitely reminded us we were on island time! It took 10-15 minutes to get our drinks - which were delicious, hand-made mojitos. So, just be aware. My husband & I each had a salad & 1 mojito, and after tip it was about $60. It was very good, though, and the... read more

This is a really nice restaurant on the grounds of the Sand Castle on the Beach hotel. Sitting is under cover with open sides, making for dining with beautiful views and nice breezes. On the night we ate here (a Sunday) I was not incredibly impressed with the food. I had ribs which were good but were very difficult to... More

The food was really good but way too overpriced. Also the drinks (sodas) are ridiculous expensive. $2.50 for about 4-5 oz in a plastic cup.

Great bartender served us very tasty Mango Coladas! We had already eaten lunch, so I can't comment on the food and waitstaff. Afterward, we walked next door to the hotel and paid the $5/pp fee for using their facilities (bathroom, shower, pool, lounge chairs, etc.) to enjoy the beach. Good times!

One night we were there people got angry and left because they waited so long. Our waitress explained there were only a few reservations, but then the place was packed, so they were terribly understaffed. So glad we stayed. Food beat expectations, gorgeous setting, wait staff very appreciative of anyone noticing they were working their tails off. Don't go in... More

We went for lunch and my boyfriend said it was one of the best burgers he has had. This is a nice little establishment. It's directly on the beach with a spectacular view; this part of the beach is really nice. The only minor complaint was we arrived and was seated a few minutes before they changed to the dinner... With every visit to St. Croix I always plan a night (or more) dining at Beachside Café. Not only is the view extraordinary, but the food never fails to please the palate, and the servers always greet me like a long lost friend. Beachside is, and has been, an island favorite for more than ten years.
