Great place

My husband and I wandered into this place and immediately felt at home; the owner was friendly and engaging and the beer cheese dip with pretzel bites was delish• check it out!

We arrived around 6:30 on a Friday evening and sat at a table in the bar. We noticed the interesting decor and the extensive beer list. Unfortunately the server never paid any attention to us. After 10 or 15 minutes of being ignored, we left and went to the Bombay.

I felt like I was in a high end place but they staff was so warm and welcoming. We had just come from diving and a little on the drown rat side but we felt comfortable. I think Id be just as comfortable in a nice dress. The food was super yummy, drinks good and great atmosphere.

What a delightful lunch time find! The owner is most gracious, and the food and drinks are a welcome change from the typical island food. We especially enjoyed the variety of salads and their rich tastes. Also, Mike knows how to make the perfect drink, whether it is old school or modern. We value that. This is the best kept... More

We heard this place had just re-opened so we wanted to try it out. We went pretty casual the night we went, mostly burgers, fish and chips and the like. 6 of us in the group and we all really liked everything that came our way from the kitchen. We sat in the court yard, a small area but the... More

We stopped here for a quick beer....what a great place.....sports bar....Irish Pub....and excellent food!! We are here early on NYE 2015 and will be back this evening. This place is reminiscent of Kells in Seattle for ambiance but better food and service!

Tavern is small, at the intersection of Company Street and Queens Cross Street. Don't blink or you'll miss it. Parking can be tricky. We circled the place like vultures looking for a parking spot.. huh thank God we found one. We are in C-sted around 6:30 PM. Be vigilant... not scared to come here in the dark.. but with that... Great spot to grab a burger and have cold beers! I had the holiday (Thanksgiving) burger which was a turkey and sweet potato burger topped with homemade stuffing and cranberry sauce...it was delicious! The bartender Brian was great and was telling us fun things to do around the island. Tavern is a great place if you're looking for a nice... More
