South Shore Cafe is our Wednesday night destination every year we go to St. Croix. Diane runs this business by herself with a passion for Italian style cooking that says "love" in every bite. Her handmade pastas are fabulously delicious and every main course is seasoned with fresh herbs from her own garden. Reservations are a must and please be... More

This was our first visit to South Shore Cafe, but it certainly won't be our last. This place is a secret. Word of mouth advertising keeps it a secret treat for those "in the know." The food was fabulous (try the sweet potato manicotti - it's magnificent), the ambiance was charming, Diane and Dot (dog hostess) were the perfect hosts.... More

All the reviews are pretty spot on...it only has 4 tables...one woman does everything. Limited drink selection. Not a fan of desserts with liquers in them so I opted for the chocolate flan even as a flan-hater. It arrived and was seriously the best dessert I've ever had. I would have categorized it more a mousse. D-I-V-I-N-E!

We "discovered" South Shore Cafe nearly ten years ago and have never missed an opportunity to include it on our annual visit to the island. Diane is more than an excellent cook and hostess and we actually feel like we are guests at her home. She is just one of the wonderful people that make our stay on St. Croix... More

One of the fun aspects of vacationing is venturing off the beaten path and trying non-mainstream restaurants. South Shore Cafe is really unique. Only five table a night can get served. The reservation times are spread out to enable the sole proprietor, maitre d', order taker, waiter and check, all one person name Dianne time to treat each table as... More

The food here is spectacular--try the south shore salad, the manicotti, the desserts--wow. The restaurant has a unique and homey vibe--Diane, the owner and cook, will make you feel well-cared for. A fun place to come with friends or family for a delicious night out. You do need to call ahead for a reservation, as it is not open every... More

Just returned from St Croix, and other than the stunning beaches our favorite memory is of South Shore Cafe. This tiny restaurant is run completely from front to back by one woman. She does it all expertly! There are only about 5 tables and a bar, so reservations are a must. It is so worth the wait-(do not go if... More

Dinner at South Shore is truly a treat - you are a guest in Diane's home. She cooks almost everything from scratch and the pastas and sauces are just to die for. And save room for homemade dessert! Always one of our favorite meals - a rare gem anywhere that is extra special on St. Croix.

Christmas Dinner at the South Shore Inn was one of the most delicious, fun, and unique meals of my life. Diane, a feisty New York transplant, is the sole server, bartender, owner, and chef at this incredible restaurant. Her cuisine is a mix of gourmet and home cooking, and she is famous for her homemade pasta and fresh ingredients. Even... More

We had dinner at the South Shore Cafe during our recent holiday visit to St. Croix. I love the setting with views of the south shore of the island. Diane is known for her homemade pasta. Both pasta dishes that we had were excellent, so were the salad (fresh local greens) and soup (potato, leek, and broccoli). We always look... More
