We heard about the Chicken Shack from Christina at the Renaissance Carambola Beach Resort where we stayed. We drove to the Chicken Shack for lunch and let me tell you, this is a local hot spot. The food was delicious and the price was cheap. All the staff at the Chicken Shack were very friendly and helpful. Order extra Johnny... More

My family loved the delicious chicken and johnny cakes at the Chicken Shack. We were told we couldn't leave the island until we visited the Chicken Shack by the staff at the Carambola. We are really glad they told us. We ended up going back on the way to the airport because it was so tasty. Our kids thought the... More

We went to La Reine based on an ad that said "best BBQ on the island". I ordered the bbq pork since it was the only thing on the menu that said bbq and it was terrible- very fatty and over cooked. We also got the stew beef, pasta, chicken parm, and shrimp. Everything was cold when it finally came... More

stopped and had lunch we both had 1/2 chicken & johnny cakes which was very filling and best of all the price, $13 for both of us. Not hard to find with a lot of locals eating there & playing dominos. Dinner menu came out while we where there, served 3p-6p with more great sounding food.

Not my first time here. Luv this place! Good, Caribbean food. The chicken is soooo tender, juicy, and flavorful! The johnny cakes are just like my mother in law makes them (Shhhh! Don't tell her I said that). The place is clean, staff is great, just a great eating experience!

Had the half chicken and Johnny cakes and the chicken was outstanding! The Johnny cakes are just delicious and very much like a zepoli but without the powdered sugar Get here early for dinner. The restaurant gets busy and can run out of chicken. We went for lunch and here were many locals dining. Good food. Not at a tourist... More

Go early, we got there about 5:30 and they were sold out of almost everything. That should tell you how good this place is.

You know it is going to be good when you see the locals lining up at lunch to eat there! Before we got in line, we took a peek at the rotisserie out back. It was full of approximately 100 chickens. Grabbed a cold beer, sat down on the outdoor porch area and enjoyed our lunch of roti chicken. Another... More

This was the best rotisserie chicken I have had since I left Germany. The food is definitely finger licking good and this was the most reasonable meal we had during the whole trip. I recommend eating there early in your trip because it was so good you might want to go again.

Should've eaten there every day! Two meals for $13 which is what we normally spent on one persons meal. The food was amazing! And the only place that didn't charge way to much for a soda. A MUST STOP!
