We read a lot of good reviews about this being the restaurant to try. We went at lunchtime - it was uncrowded (less than 3 tables of people as we were a little early for their main crowd who arrived a half hour later). We order the variety of Conch plate and Jerk Chicken with fries. After a while, we... more

A friend in our group of 8 had heard good things and really wanted to go here for lunch one day. We payed $80 for the cab there from The Sands. The view was amazing but nothing else did much for us. This is the first and only time on the island we had over-cooked lobster. Service was really slow.... more

My fiance and I went to da Conch Shack and could not determine what the fuss is all about. My conch fritters were bathed in batter and the grouper was one of the worse I have ever eaten. This place was not worth a $25 taxi ride to and a $14 taxi ride from; what a waste. more

Loved da Conch Shack. I thought the Conch salad was great and the cracked Conch better. We rented a car just for the visit and we were not disappointed. Also had the chowder and stirfry. We ate at some of the islands best restaurants but this remains one of my most memorable meals. more

One word sums this place up: BLAAA. I think people only go because they think it is a locals spot. It is a tourist spot in a location near to where locals live. Better tourist spots elsewhere. Better beaches to eat in close proximity to elsewhere. more

Can't believe how great the food is here. It absolutely made the trip for me and my friends. Had an amazing experience with an authentic feel and real local food. Go to this place and see what all the hype is about. more

Loved the food simple and fresh had the Conch Salad followed by the Conch Curry and washed down with great well priced rum some brands I had never seen before - nice to see something real on the island and not feel like I was in Miami – not an air conditioner to be heard other than the sea breeze more

I hate to say it, since this place is 'da Conch Shack,' but they had the worst conch I tried on the trip - and I ate conch at least once a day. It came out barely warm on my plate. The conch seemed a bit rubbery and I got a couple bites of shell. On the plus side, you... more

just returned from T&C and visited Da Shack many times to try different rums and different presentations of Conch. Conch salad best - try the optional hot peppers on the side but be careful how much you add! Crack Conch another favorite. Boozy rum cake will top off a classic island experience. Atmosphere relaxed friendly and especially hopping on music... more
