We went for lunch today and it was tasty, and timely. I ordered the mahi mahi on a bun, and he ordered the cracked conk. So delicious. Also, we ordered the "award-winning" conch chowder before lunch - it was the best conch chowder I have had on this island. (2nd best is Caicos Cafe). ;-) I would definitely recommend this... more

I had the cracked conch which was so rubbery I could barely cut it with my knife. I'm guessing maybe it was left over the previous day and they microwaved and re-served it to me. To add insult to injury, the flavoring was all wrong - it tasted like they had dipped it in Italian seasoning. So, basically I paid... more

As a food critic I feel obliged to briefly opine on our experience at Simba - having gone there this week upon good TA reviews. When we arrived at 7:30, the restaurant (gorgeous, by the way, with the setting beside the pool area) was almost empty except for one other couple. We were seated promptly and immediately felt rushed when... more

We had a surprisingly pleasant dinner at Simba. The restaurant, itself, looked more like a pool-side clubhouse that was converted to a dining space. However, the food was excellent. Also, it's kind of hard to find as they are no signs for the restaurant. It's in the Turks and Caicos Club resort. more

We stayed at the Turks and Caicos Club the second week of January. Breakfast was off the menu and included in our stay. Limited menu but made to order. Lunch was typical casual food, good salads and chicken sandwiches were a favorite. Ate dinner twice. Service so-so (as everywhere we encountered this) and good selection of daily specials (fish dishes... more

Stayed at West Bay Club in January 09. On our first night we wanted one thing--grilled lobster. Still tired from our flight, when we found out that our resort was not offering it and Simba (right next door) was, it was an easy decision to walk 5 minutes to fulfill our craving. Was not expecting much and was very pleased... more

Dined at Simba for all three meals as we were staying at the Turks & Caicos Club. Breakfast was very good (anything off the menu is included in the sutie rate.) Lunch I recommend anything with chicken or shrimp, salads very fresh. Cracked conch one afternoon rivaled that of the local conch places. Dinner at Simba is an entirely different... more

We dined at several of the finest restaurants in Grace Bay, but we found that Simba was the best. The food was fresh, delicious and interesting, the atmosphere was romantic, the service was top notch and the pace was just right. We enjoyed ourselves at Simba so much that we returned there for our last evening's dinner. All in all,... more
