First off smokeys moved since we went last year it's now down the road on the second floor above a local casino across from turtle cove. I believe it's called Smokeys in the round now. This place is definitely a local haunt so don't be deterred by the local feel. Both times coming I was greeted by smokey and felt... More

My husband and I had both read great reviews of Smokey's food and a visit here was on our "must-do" list. We had struck out on our attempt to eat at the actual location, so were very excited to try them at the Fish Fry. Sadly, when walking up to tent, we were greeted with absolute rudeness by the female... More

Because I prefer local encounters more than touristy spots when I travel I counted it as a good thing when, for our first TCI meal, we pulled up to the out of the way location, opened the door and saw only locals in a no fuss environment. Since TCI is all about the conch, I started with the peas and... More

So the food is alright. However they charge different prices for food and drinks here. I went during their lobster fest and paid ten dollars per drink while literally around the corner you can buy them for 3 dollars. They changed price on me after paid for drinks. On food I met a couple who paid 32 per couple for... More

I've been coming to TCI for a few years now, and one of my first stops is always Smokey's. The food is great. The location is a bit hard to find, but TRY to find it. Think of it as a pilgrimage of sorts. I always jokingly ask Smokey to marry me, but he's holding out for someone better I... More

So disappointed and STILL am in the authentic-Caribbean food experience in Turks and Caicos--Provi. For what is available, Smokey's was the best meal I had for my stay. In defiance of a country which lacks "culture" in all regards, because of the tourism industry, after my first night's meal at Smokey's I literally went on a hunger strike! "Smokey" is... More

No menu, no prices, noisy (there was a dice game going on over on the other side of the restaurant) and not in the greatest section of town. It doesn't matter. They'll tell you what they have that day, and that usually means GREAT jerk chicken and ribs with all the fixin's. Go on, you know you want to.

We asked to be taken to a local restaurant for local food. The place was not what we expected but the food was incredible. Smokey prepared a platter for 7 and we were amazed. Staff were great!
