Quaint beach bar

Much better than the tourist trap chain restaurants right off the dock. Great views, good food and drinks. The only down side is that there are numerous homeless native dogs roaming the island, and tend to congregate around places like this. For those of us that are animal lovers, it is... read more

What a waste!!! This place came recommended as more "local" than the more visible Margaritaville. It is "quaint", but still just another tourist trap. Prices are 4 times normal/acceptable. Food was "OK". And service was AWFUL. Got the feeling we were anything but welcome. Rent a bike, head into town, and see the REAL Grand Turk. This is just another... More

Much better than the tourist trap chain restaurants right off the dock. Great views, good food and drinks. The only down side is that there are numerous homeless native dogs roaming the island, and tend to congregate around places like this. For those of us that are animal lovers, it is incredibly sad to see starving, disease ridden dogs languishing... More

Like sheep we followed the crowd off the cruise ship and walked the distance across the beach to go to here, after a few days of no wi fi many of us were interested in a tasty rum drink, some conch and a good dose of FREE Wi Fi. The service here was horrible, one very rude lady bartender and... More

We are currently sitting at the bar at Jack's Shack on Grand Turk Island while cruising on the Holland America Line msWesterdam. Having a great time with folks from the ship and the owners Jack, Janet and their daughter, Erin. Great drinks, outstanding jerk chicken and only 500 yards up the beach from the cruise port. Highly recommended- it's a... More

The drinks are strong, but that's about all to recommend it. It's a goodly walk up the beach from the cruise ship terminal and Margaritaville has an excellent pool area. Jack's has no pool, only a so-so beach.

Took a group there after hearing about it on the internet as "the place to go" and found it to be a dump in all of our opinions. Out of twenty two people no one enjoyed it or had anything good to say about the experience. Dogs running around loose everywhere, building and area in general just as it says... More

If you are coming to Grand Turks on a cruise ship this is the only sightseeing you need to do. We took an island tour when we docked there last week. Believe me the beaches are beautiful everywhere in this area.... but the island has nothing to see. Everywhere you go, even in town, all you see is slums and... More

The drinks were powerful! One was enough, as I had to get back to the ship. Even though there were alot of people there, we got a table in the sand, with umbrella, as soon as we arrived. There was a party ambiance, perfect for the Islands. The staff couldn't of been more accommodating. When we asked to have a... More

Right on the beach and just a short walk up the beach from the cruise port. It was busy when we got there but had no problem getting seated and served. I had a local beer, but other in my group had daiquiris and other cocktails and were quite happy with them. As for food, we all had jerk chicken... More

Jack's Shack was quite busy with locals and tourists alike! Its food quality was good despite not having a huge selection. The alcoholic drink selections were plentiful. The prices were not bad but not for those on a strict budget. My only suggestion for Jacks to have some other conch food selections - I would have loved to try raw... More
