We were looking for a restaurant to got to on a Friday evening and this one had great reviews on TA. We emailed the restaurant mid afternoon to see if we needed a reservation, they promptly responded advising us to make one for that evening , which we did. When we arrived we were met by a pleasant man who... More

Great Italian cooking, huge selection of wines (probably best on island). I ve heard You need a reservation, therefore I was able to walk in, just had to wait for table (like 15 mins). Cool spot for a date or romantic dinner.

I was in Tobago a year or so ago and had one of the finest meals at La Tartaruga. This was my 2nd time at the restaurant. It so happened that power to that part of the island was out and we wondered where we could get a meal, thinking that the restaurant would be closed. The owner, Gabriele, invited... More

Most of the restaurants baring the Pavilion at Stonehaven were very good on Tobago. This one however shone like a star. Gorgeous setting, family run with a passion. Excellent food served by the chef with little extras and so background of the food you were served. Just try it.

My girlfriend and I have eaten all over Tobago in the last two weeks. Unfortunately we didn't discover this place until the last few days. The service started out slow and we were expecting typical Tobagonian service. But this was quickly redeemed with a friendly and attentive waiter. Portions were a fair size and very tasty. The price was reasonable... More

Greeted by the owner himself, a Milanese chef (and his wife), we 'toured' Milan with a broad assortment of authentic culinary delights: antipasti, meatballs, lasagna and cannelloni, pate and tapenade ... just ask for an assorted experience and you won't be disappointed! The pasta (and every else) is made on sight. The ambience and the staff are excellent. This place... More

Normal italian food. Sort of average. Heavy on pasts with very limited options for main plates. I had grilled fish. Which was fine, husband had past which he loved (but he is a guy who loves pasta). Atmosphere OK. Service great.

We sampled many of their offerings. The meatballs were truly delectable and the baked eggplant parm was spectacular. It is the finest Italian food I've had outside of Italy. The staff was very friendly and down to earth. Special custom meals were quickly brought out for the kids. I highly recommend stopping here on your vacation to Tobago.

We were super excited to discover this italian restaurant within walking distance of our guest house on our day of arrival, namely Christmas day. The chef is a true italian cook, has fantastic recipes and wines, and we had a fantastic unexpected christmas diner. We went back 3 days later and had again a great meal. I highly recommend this... I have made 6 visits to Tobago and never miss dining at La Tartaruga. Gabriela is a very gracious host, he always finds time to visit our table and explain what's on the menu, and always brings unique appetizers to sample. I always order the fresh liver Pate, Its a great way to start the meal, he also offers calamari... More
