Love Doubles..these are OK

There's a street stand in town that makes the most amazing doubles- his sauces are tremendous. George's are good, just not with the pizazz of the street vendor (who's name I don't know).

I used to eat George and George's Ex almost everyday at one point in my life. Living in Diego Martin meant it was a pretty easy drive. But as I grew older I realised that these doubles weren't as good as I thought they were. In fact, they were just..... bland. I now make a long drive to Arima for... More

The doubles here are a must-do for any visitor to T&T. Standing on the pavement (sidewalk) and eating a piping hot doubles (yes - a doubles) in the morning is the typical Trini breakfast-on-the-go.

This seems to be the vendor that is mostly recommended for doubles but to be honest they were not as tasty as others i have had and the queue was quite long

Wow. Hands down the Doubles are the best street food in this city. George's is good, although the hours are weird... He is definitely not open all the time. The good thing is that if George's is closed, you're bound to come across another corner that sells them. I can't get enough of them. It seems it's all I've eaten... More

Perhaps all the other reviews went to one doubles stand, or didn't visit debe, or sando or even curepe. George's is a poor Doubles. Industrial tying channa (does he use cotton oil?!), flat & greasy barra, harsh and tasteless pepper. George X a far better option if you can't be bothered to find a different street, the guy on the... More

and so has his ex-wife. They ran the stand together for years, then they split. However she continued to serve her doubles side-by-side with George, and loyalties were tested, and you had to choose which queue to join. Now "George's X", as she is officially called, has moved to her own patch at the end of the street in a... More

George has been selling doubles outside the Brooklyn Bar for many years. Doubles is like a sandwich made with a fried chickpea paste called bara and filled with curried chickpeas and topped with a variety of chutneys. Very ecomical and tasty!
